Megan Exhaust - or others?

Yes I have done a search, yes I have seen the exhaust reference thread...But there's nothing really updated as of recent.

So I ordered an exhaust off ebay and had serious fitment issues (given)

Looking at possibly the Megan or others anyone would suggest? Not a fan of the Alta or the Milltek. Not looking for anything crazy loud, but would like something low and deep tone... No honda-ricey like (even though I bought a 4 banger)

I got the Borla Agressive exhaust but it's not installed yet. I made a video review of the unboxing here:

Borla is definitely on my list for the future, but my budget for an exhaust is not quite there yet. I need something a little on the cheaper side. 2 of my hangers are broken on the stock setup, along with the brackets that wrap on each muffler are snapped in half, along with an exhaust leak lol

budget exhausts are where I'm looking at now, but with as minimal modifications for fitment as possible, otherwise i might as well just pay and get the stock one fixed (~$250-$300) which to me is not worth it

I found mine on eBay for 700 with free shipping from the vendor Vexmotors. Might be worth saving up or selling off parts to get the exhaust you want. Do it once right instead of paying to do it twice.

Sound is all Im going for... Wouldn't have to do it twice? Ive had budget exhaust on past cars, and brand name exhausts (Supersprint & Agency Power on my M3) which ended up not lasting that long. Switched over to a rep exhaust and lasted just as long up until I sold the car.

Just looking at other options other than your typical Borla, Milltek guys

I got the Invidia exhaust from an eBay vendor and I really like it. It fit pretty good. I didn't have to bend any of the hangers to have it hit the opening for the center exhaust. I've had it for two years now and it still looks really good. I do drive my mini in the rain but I don't use it in the winter. The sound went a bit lower in tone and slightly louder. That being objective I guess. There are a few videos out there comparing the sound to stock.

Not sure what can be said that hasn't been said already, its all preference. Everyone likes the exhaust they own and that's what you'll be told to get. It's all about what you wanna pay that decides which you get, want a louder sound, get something non resonated. They pretty much all sound the same anyways, some are just louder. I choose scorpion because of the price and lifetime warranty. Had money not been a factor I probably would have bought the alta. The miltek is just too pricey and quiet in my opinion. Of course now there's a non rrsonated option.

From what you sound like your looking for check out our non Res WMW stratmosphere exhaust. It has a great sound, fits right on, and isn't too loud.
http://www.waymotorworks.com/stratmo...3-hardtop.html

I've had customers do the ebay thing only to have the exhaust melt the rear bumper, or just fall off. Then when it falls apart we see the metal is paper thin .

Stratmosphere to me just seems way too quiet, not much of a difference over stock from the one my buddy has. Ill just have to be able to hear a few others in person before making the choice, or just fitting put the ebay one until i decide on a permanent exhaust.

Tis is true... Scorpion is actually at the top of my list, i just don't like the tips all to much (this is changeable though) so I might go that route. Doesn't sound like its too loud compared to like a magnaflow.

Please don't waste your money on an Ebay, be patient and get something definitive, a scoprion or a megan if your not willing to spend alot. i wouldnt go any cheaper than those two options.

Ive already bought the eBay one because of a leak on my stock exhaust, and 3 broken hangers... But Ill still be getting another exhaust in the next few months

I haven't ever had any issues with eBay exhaust... granted Ive always bought from the same vendor and they make some pretty solid exhausts.
