I'm making a trip with the whole family to Dennis, MA the first week in August.

I have an invite to meet Bisch in Hyannis while we're there.

I just extended my trip to drive up to the Mount Desert Island Biological Lab, Maine to do
some work for two days, so we'll be driving from Boston, through Portland Maine, to
Bar Harbor and on to the lab.

If anyone wants to get together and see a rented Mini-Van, that would be great.

Ooooh, a rented Mini-Van! Which one? Bwahahahahaha! And please, you MUST post some graphs indicating vannage-type info for us!

I told him not to get his feet wet, but does he listen? Noooooooo.
A fun hike 2-miles up to the summit of Cadillac mountain in the pouring rain.

Up a "dry" riverbed. Ha.

Mucht laughing was heard all the way to the top, and the wild blueberries were yummy.
We will do it again on a moment's notice.

Cadillac Mountain is in Acadia National Park (Maine). It is the highest point along the North Atlantic seaboard (1,532 feet).

Been there!
I've been up that path! It's great, although my hike with my wife probably wasn't as entertaining as your's with the kids. Looks like a great time.

Cadillac is great. bring your bikes if you visit Acadia in the future. there are dozens of miles of bike paths all over the park and up and down the mountain both easy and hard. challenging and fun for all ages and abilities.

Trippy, hit Thunder Hole. with the ocean swell from the past two hurricaines there should be some great splashing as the tide comes in.

If you don't bring bikes, rent them in Bar Harbor and have the Arcadia Explorer
bus take you and the bikes out to a carriage road for FREE.

Then you can bike all you want, and take the bus back to the rental place.

Also, the Parkside restaraunt in Bar Harbor has the F-ing-est hot Wasabi on the planet.
I've had Wasabi from Minnesota to Zurich to Tokyo, and this is some mighty-powerful stuff.
It's the first time I have had to be careful eating the stuff.
Yummmmmmmyyyyyy. The Chef gave us the name. Send me a SASE and I'll send it to you.

Ah Ha, just kidding. It's a powder called Kinjirushi Kona Wasabi
