MINI sent me a box of stuff today

I got a Pen with a floating MINI in it, a Journal book, Biz card holder, mesaging kit, MINI car bingo and even a logo'd rubber band.
Great stuff!!! Anyone else get this? I got my '04 about a month ago.

Yeah,

I got one of those gift boxes about a month after I picked up Gryffon in September. Very cool. I still keep the pen and motoring journal in the glove box to record services.

I received a gift box very much like that soon after getting my MCS -03. If MINI USA is doing things the same as when I bought my MINI you will receive some other gifts. I will not say what I received so if you receive them the surprise will be yours.

Tradition!

I think that the gift pack is an English tradition. When I bought my Land Rover in 1996, they included a large metal can with Tea, Crumpets, Biscuits, Marmalade, Smoked Salmon and Lemon Curd. No pen, though.

MINI has only sent me a recall notice. Nothing else.

I got mine about 2 years ago now. Same exact package. I got several other things during the first year of ownership including a thank you note, balloons and a tin of biscuits from the dealer.

Me too!

If you really want to spoil the surprise, you could do some research here on NAM to find out what other folks got in '02 and '03... <he he he>

My favorite surprise was the 1 year birthday card! It came via email and showed a MINI the same spec (visually) as mine! A friend who got his around the same time as me got a birthday card with a MINI the same spec as his! Way to go MINI!!!

Isn't that kit just the neatest?
I was really hoping mine wuold show up before I went motoring with the kids, so they could have fun with the game and the message cards (my kids are 10 and 16), but since I have only had my MINI for almost two weeks, so I do not expect to see the kit until sometime after we get back. Darn it.

Nothing yet (6 weeks today since delivery).

I did get some stuff from my MA at delivery though: a gift basket with tea, biscotti, "MINI mints" and other assorted snacks...a MINI of Fairfield County logo'd t-shirt depicting odometer reading 000068 (not 100% clear on the significance of the number)...an accessories catalog, and other assorted literature.

minniedryver, I know that really early on the first (200? 500?) people to purchase MINIs got a T-shirt from the dealer with their number in line. From yours it looks as though you were the 68th person to purchase. How long ago did you get your MINI? If it was recently, then maybe the shirts were reprinted or left over?

I got the same kit CruzinChris, but about 4 months after pickup. So those that are still counting weeks instead of months...wait a little while longer and you'll probably see the kit show up. I also got a Christmas card and a birthday letter from my MA. Both had personal, handwritten thanks and wishes in them so I know they weren't form letter stuff.
It’s the little things that make me happy. Well, that and this awesome little car...

SCoop,
I got the car 6-1/2 weeks ago...My MA said that the shirts were numbered sequentially, but I know they've sold more than 68 cars. Maybe #68 has been lying on the shelf for a while because most folks don't need a XXL shirt???

Maybe it’s the number of defects they programmed in to the car.

I also got the kit, but some one used my pen and lost it! Think I could call MINI and ask for another one!

Never received anything from MiniUSA... other than an annoying phonecall

for some survey.

Even Mazda sent me a cool keychain flashlight when I bought their car...
which I converted into my MCS's illuminating coin holder.

Unichip included a keychain as well...
