I got EVERY interior bulb and the tag lights for my 06 R53 from eBay for 24.oo shipped

That included:

Map Lights (05 / 06) have these
Dome Light and outside lamps on the Dome
Vanity Lights (these are the one that none of the kits contain)
Glove Box
Courtesy Lamps
Trunk

And like I said the Tag Lights also

It all looks great and has a much brighter color. I had to order from multiple sellers but everything came in a very timely manner

I tried the Xenon Colored Bulbs for my BMW a few years back and they were too dark compared to the OEM halogen bulb.

The new LED is much better and I will get a set soon.

I agree - that article was a huge help for me too. I followed the directions in the article and spent about $28 for the lights I need for my 2006 R53. (Hope they fit!) Amazon shipped most of them via Prime shipping. One package is coming from China and will arrive in a few weeks.

This week I'm going to spend some time and install all of the lights I have so far. Here's what I bought. Note that I have a few extra lights needed for my 2006 model:

Amazon.com: Cutequeen 4PCS White 39mm(1.54") 3528 16-SMD 16SMD 12V Festoon Dome Light LED Bulbs 6411 6413 6423 6461 6418 DE3425 DE3423 (pack of 4): Automotive Amazon.com: Cutequeen 4PCS White 39mm(1.54") 3528 16-SMD 16SMD 12V Festoon Dome Light LED Bulbs 6411 6413 6423 6461 6418 DE3425 DE3423 (pack of 4): Automotive

Edit: The 37mm bulb previously linked was the wrong type for the sun visor, which needs a "type 37" bulb. I'm trying a new bulb now.

Amazon.com: 2pcs 20-SMD T10 12V Light LED Replacement Bulbs + STICKER 168 194 2825 W5W - White: Automotive Amazon.com: 2pcs 20-SMD T10 12V Light LED Replacement Bulbs + STICKER 168 194 2825 W5W - White: Automotive

the last ones you listed will work great for the map light i just have over kill with the full ones. couldn't see any real difference there.

but the smaller longer verson that will prob work better than mine although mine are still bright as can be even slanted.

Yes the socket is the same, but in the map light hole they work better as the light only comes out the front.

The lights I bought for the sun visor were the wrong size - they were way too big. After some searching, I think I found the right type for the right price and have them on order. They were only $1.19 each - hope they fit.

I found some other websites that were selling matching LED's - just for the sun visor bulbs- for $30-50 a set!
