R50/53 Looking for some wiring help
Looking for some wiring help
I recently purchased a 2003 Mini Cooper S and I need some help. I noticed an unplugged wire/clip near the DSC module which is located in the back left corner of the engine bay (standing in the front of the car looking at the motor). I have a pic, but I am not sure how to post it.
If any of you have an 03 with the DSC system, could you post a pic of what yours looks like?
Also, if you can tell me how to post a pic, I will do that.
Thanks...

Here is a link to the Mini2 forum where I uploaded the pic. You can see the DSC unit in the background. Any help would be appreciated.

Here are 2 more pics. The first is zoomed out a bit and the second is closer in. You can see the unclipped wire clip (white). Not sure where it goes or what it is supposed to plug into.
Any info or pics would be really helpful.

That's part of the alarm system I believe, that's where the siren sits. MINIs come pre wired dependent on years.

I have the alarm on my '03 S, and it is attached just to the left of the wire/clip as pictured. I can't see where the wire enters the housing, but ECSTuning's read seems on target to me. The photo of the siren portion shows where the clip would attach.
After doing some reserch, I think you have me on the right track. I will look around the car to evidence of the factory alarm to confirm. It seems that the previous owner just removed the siren for some reason.
Thanks for the help...

Yea, Mine was like that the cable was wrapped into the wiring harness ( pre wired for alarm ). Its possible someone just unwraped it juts to look at it. And never had the alarm kit.
Thanks
Thanks
