Passenger Door stopped Opening..

I am able to unlock it with the key remote and from the center panel so the locks are fine. Once unlocked, however, I cannot open it from the outside OR from the inside. I suspect some sort of cable has come loose and I have to remove the panel to fix it.

Anyone know if the cable would be the same for both IN/OUT? Do both latches share the same cable? Does it seem like the problem is the loose cable? I don't want to open it if its something else I cant handle.

Thanks!

I have the same problem now, only it's my drivers side. I believe mine is ice related though.

Thank you very much, I believe mine may be ice as well. Started right after a very cold day.

Glad to hear. Now spray them down with WD 40 or similar so water will not get in there.

Also you might have the newer style door handles it was April 2004 on the TSB in the other thread.

Thanks

Iet me know how it works, I'll have to get some wd-40. My mini hates these buffalo winters, my dash lights also cut out in the frigid cold.
