Rear control arm quesion

Hey guys probably a dumb question and before I get crap I already searched and could only come up with front bushings but does the rear control arms having bushings? I replaced the front already with polyurethane because the whole wheel was shaking when id kick it and the body didn't even budge. The rear seems right but under high speed shock the rear wheels hit the back of my fenders by the rear side markers. I am getting coilovers this week to replace my stock springs and struts with 254k miles. Will this fix that issue?

Are you talking about rear control arms (also called camber arms) or rear trailing arm bushings?

To answer your question, yes they both have bushings.

Yeah trailing arms. Thanks. I figured it did I just wasn't searching the right terms so it wouldn't come up. I see megan makes a set for 200 and super pro has a set for 105$ I'll wait to get those when I do my toe and camber links then.

Wow that's a lot of miles. You sure it's not a wheel bearing? It would make a pretty terrible noise when you drove it if it was the wheel bearing.

Nice to see that many miles. Congrats.

Check the rear wheel bearing for the grumble or noise.

There is a rear tailing arm bushing from Powerflex as mentioned above. There is a pre 5/2003 and post 5/2003 bushing.

I would also check the rear upper strut bushing as then tend to deform over time and cause a clunk noise. There are a couple options.

Guide Support / Rear Shock Mount - Left Part # 33526754123

Foam mount with plate ( encase the plate is rusted bad).

Or just the foam insert part.

Shock Mount - Rear

There is also the Powerflex version of this in Performance and Race:

If you need any other Powerflex items , let us know as we now carry the full line.

Thanks

The powerflex trailing arm bushings are ONLY inserts, they do NOT replace the entire trailing arm bushing. They are designed to stiffen up the bushing and support it for performance and long term use.
You need to get under the car and figure out why the wheel is moving so much as I've never seen a worn bushing cause it to hit, usually it's over size tires or car just too low.

Thanks for the replies guys. These are the coilovers I purchased,

http://bit.ly/1h1f77g

I am wondering if these replace needing the bushings in the top mounts entirely. When I got to put them in I will go to inspect wheel bearings but I thought those were lifetime parts. ECS, there are so many bushings I want to order. I am planning to be very competitive next race season and I want my car handling as consistent and smooth as possible. I'll be inspecting the old shock tower bushings in the rear as the front are crack very badly. I also have deformed front strut towers(mushrooming mounting points). Also over the slightest suspension travel I hear this little popping or clicking noise from damn near every strut. Also thought it was my frame or something.
I will purchase these new bushings I need for everything and adjustable camber and toe links to complete my rear ends suspension.

The link you posted is just a set of the Megan racing coil overs. Next time check with us as we sell them for the same price without the eBay risk.

But with that setup you won't need any upper rear shock bushings as these come with a pillow ball bearing mount front and rear. When you're ready to order the other bushings as we can get you the right setup with our race experience.

Hi, I have a 2005 S R53 coupe. Do the powerflex polyurethane Rear Trailing Arm Bushing inserts require final torquing when suspension is loaded? The reason I ask is that it appears very difficult on a lowered car unless you have a lift. Is it okay to torque them while still on jack stands for us folks working on our cars in the driveway/garage? thanks!
