Rubbing noise driver side wheel

I have a weird noise coming from my driver side wheel in my r53. Brakes look fine, nothing caught in caliper, I bent back the dust shield, and my bushings look good. I think it may be a warped rotor but I'd like some feedback to see if anyone else has dealt with this!

Can anyone help me? Here's a video...

Well not too sure but your rim looks bent, and possibly a bubble on the tire? I had a noise that sounded somewhat similar and new tires fixed it up.

I do have a bubble but my rim is fine. I'm using a GOPRO so the video may be warped (fisheye lens)

I don't think the rim is bent because the video I shot was filmed with a GOPRO hero 3 at wide angle (fisheye). I do have a bubble though, not big enough to matter. I've looked into that.

Ah. That explains what I saw. Well my tires were "cupped" and I was getting a noise that sounded like that. Does it get louder with speed? Any vibration in the wheel?

Sorry about the double reply, I didn't see my first one when I refreshed.

No vibrations, and no it doesn't get louder as I accelerate. Just kinda stays the same. If you watch the video from 1:25-2, I accelerate and you can hear it stay the same volume, just quicker.

Sounds a bit like brake pads are rubbing.

Could be, but when I took off the wheel, they looked great. I haven't noticed any more brake dust on this wheel than on any of the others.

Finally figured it out. Car sat in an auction lot for a while and the brake pads attached themselves to the rotor. When the car was finally driven, they broke loose but warped the rotor. All I need to do is get the rotors cut.

UPDATE:
I bought 2 new front rotors. I took off the driver's side (problem side) and replaced it with a brand new rotor. I checked the brakes in the process. They looked great! I reassembled the caliper onto the rotor and torqued everything to factory. When I spun the rotor, it was still making the sound. So I took the new rotors back and just had my old ones cut. I put on the newly cut rotors and I'm still getting the noise. It was then I realized I am missing the clips for my brake shoes to slide into. (not the clips that slide into the holes on the outside of the caliper). Are clips that allow your brakes shoes to slide in cleanly necessary? I've had them replaced on all my other vehicles but am new to my MINI.

Thanks for your feedback.

Don’t overlook the wheel hub. I had one that felt like a stuck pad and the noise it made came and went.

There are some good values over in the marketplace for the part and it’s easy to replace. In fact I bought two when I did one side just because.

Opened my door while driving slow, stuck my head down by the back tire and listened...

Seems to be the tires. They are Goodyear Eagle 205/45r17 Run Flat Tires...

This sound is a common issue with run flats I believe.

anyone else having this weird rubbery whooshing sound?

I'm not too worried about the tire failing (getting a flat) because I have run flats. If I get a flat, then I'll go ahead and replace all 4. But for the mean time, I'm willing to deal with the sound.

The tires have 24k miles on them, so I have <10k miles left.

I just want to know if this is a common sound with run flats.
