R50/53 Turn signal question
I have an 04 Cooper. When I remove the key from the ignition and put a turn signal on my running light (corrosponding to the side the signal is on) comes on and stays on. I found this out by accident and was wondering if anyone else has seen this?
Yup, they all do that. It's a feature on many European cars that is there so you can park on a narrow city street and have a little less chance of someone hitting your parked car.
There's another thread about this somewhere.

Wow great! Thanks for the headsup. I didn't bother even searching since I couldn't think of a good reason for that symptom. Thanks again, I feel much better.
