BCM questions : )
If my BCM is bad should I get a used one or new? If I get a used one isn't there a good chance it could/will go out on me since this seems to be a fairly common problem? Lastly has anybody ever discected one of these to see if the problem can be fixed?
Thanks

Consider getting yours repaired. It's much more cost effective and there's no hassle of coding / re-programming. I've used www.bba-reman.com for other modules in the past and I would highly recommend them. Ask them if they can take care of your BCM.

Helix when you say typically do you mean like what 90% of the time?
only reason I ask is the dealership said they would diagnose the problem to see if the bcm can even be "re-coded". i assume they would not charge me for re-coding if they told me that it needs to be recoded and then it does not work? then again...
