My dealer just sent me a letter saying it was probably time for my oil change. A little late since I just had it done a couple weeks ago. Anyways, there was a coupon from some glass place that is in cahoots with my dealership. The coupon said if I use them for my glass replacement they would give me a coupon to my dealership for $50 redeemable for service work. I'm wondering if this means that my dealership is not willing to work with me if I get a crack. Are they just gonna push me off? I pray I don't need to find out. BTW It is a Chicagoland dealership.

Wow! It's like a Ford Pinto owner getting a coupon for a flame-proof suit!

I just spoke with North West MINI. They sub out their windshield replacements. The person that I spoke with said that she didn't know of any aftermarket windshields for the MINI. I'm sure that I have heard of a PPG. I'm about to do a search and see if I can find the part number.

PPG does make a "non-rain sensing" replacement windsheild. The other is still a factory part; just bought one for installation next Monday.....................mgg

PPG glass is the best available for the MINI. Don't spend three times as much for defective MINI glass!

...and in the "unlisted change category"... The 2005 Mini will have a
standard "windshield service indicator", suggested replacement is every
10,000MI-
