So, I've had my MINI for almost a full eight months. Today I hit 14,000 miles. People tend to cringe when they learn my mileage to ownership ratio. I say if they didn't make the car so much fun to drive my miles would be lower. My other arguement is if they can find a way to get me where I need to go without driving I'd like to see them do it. (Though, what fun would that be?) My only worry is my rapidly diminishing warranty and what I'll do if I need repairs. Bah.

No big point to be made. But, I figured I could find some sympathy here and a few others who just about "live" in their MINIs.

We've got almost 7000 miles on ours in 2 months. 2500 of that was driving home from the dealer. I'm not sure where the rest came from... It feels like we've had this car alot longer than 2 months.

1 year 3 months with 21k miles.

Starting to consider extended warranty, but I have had such great reliability with my MINI that I have not decided what I will do as the warranty gets close to expiring.

Only had my Cooper S for about a month and a half now, but I've been putting on a solid 58 miles a day on average! At this pace I'll be well over 20k for the year!

8.5 months and 21K miles. Don't feel bad about your 14K!

I average about 33K per year due to commuting.

I just passed one year of ownership and 20K miles last week. Still running well. I've never put on more than 5-7K miles in a year on any car...of course the new 50+ mile commute every day starts adding up. Reading posts around here, 20K in a year is nowhere near the highest mileage total, though. I've read about a few closer to 30K miles/year. I'm pretty sure those people don't sleep much, though...

19 months and just about to turn 40K! Guess which
will come first: five years or 50K? Yeah, yeah...

My commute is not much, except that I drive around
the state occasionally for my job. Also, I'm always taking
trips to wilderness areas for backpacking.

This car is the best purchase I have EVER made!

Godspeed.

1y2m = 30300 miles. I telecommute 1 day a week and 2 days I carpool. So I only get to drive it to work (31 miles one way) twice a week. The rest come from fun-runs

I have 2500 miles. I have had my car since Feb 04. I commute to work each day about 70 miles per day. My thinking is what is a car for if you don't drive it. And a MINI calls you to drive it. DRIVE ME DRIVE ME!!!!! So I do what the MINI wants.

1 year 3 months. 25,000k on her. I have too much fun driving to even care about miles. That's what I bought it for, to drive it. I learned this from my dad. He's a driver too, and on the forum he frequents, guys boast and brag about only having 400 miles on their car. My dad counters with "I get more enjoyment out of my car in a day than you guys get in years." It's a Corvette forum. I still can't ever see myself buying a car and not driving it.
