it's on there with some kind of holy grail of all adhesives. i was using some hard core fishing line, gloves, a heat gun and i had a buddy with me and we couldn't get the bastard to come off.

Very true! These parts do have to withstand some pretty intense winds. I'd like to know how much pressure is put on these at say 75-80 mph.
Regarding the OP you may need to look into some kind of solvent to break the seal of the adhesive. Maybe someone with an aftermarket wing can offer some advise.
well when you put it like that....i'm kinda thankful it's a ***** to get off. all the threads i've ever seen people are just sticking it back on there with some 3M double sided tape. that crap can't even hold a picture frame on my wall.
whatever you do try using to pull it off, pair it with some quantity of beer. i've found it helps tremendously with all aspects of working on the mini
