70,000(ish) mile service

I realize that service intervals float on the mini depending on driving style etc, but I am approaching a service interval at around 70k and was wondering what all I should make sure gets done (I don't really like just taking things to the dealer and bending over).

I already have replaced the belt when I put on a smaller S/C pulley, and of course I will be changing my oil during the service (I'm at 3k miles then anyway). On my list is also plugs and wires since they haven't been changed since the car was brand spankin' new.

My question: what am I missing? What should I inspect? What should I replace? What would the dealership do?

Thanks!

By look up, I assume I can find this info in my owner's manny?

Sorry to be a n00b...

Edit: I'm also wondering if there's anything the seasoned mini owners would recommend checking into that may not be mentioned in the book.

Plugs on a pulley car should be changed...might be very hard due to age...change the cabin air filter..often forgotten. Plugs on a pulley car (like the jcw) are scheduled for chaning EVERY INSPECTION..so about 30k.

Yup ...look at the ps fan...and due to age, most likly swap out the pulley tennsior if it it the orgional...check engine mounts and front bushings...but all the "checks" are really listed in the inspections...if really done, you will find these items...it is on a few posts here and in the book.
Brake flush, and coolant service are done not by inspections (miles) but by months
..so they are likly way overdue.

Good to know! Hopefully I'll really notice a difference since I sincerely doubt they've been changed before (but who knows?).

Ah, cabin air filter... There's an oft-neglected bit of maintenance. I'm betting that's original equipment as well.

Thanks very much for all the advice, Zippy.
