R50/53 Added Black Rims... Red Stripe?
Added Black Rims... Red Stripe?
Added a set of black rims that have a red stripe around them.
Looking for advice... Red stripe the chrome ring around the body or black it out?
What about red side mirror covers?

Love those wheels! I think your car would look fantastic with a little more red in either choice, beltline or mirrors. Personally I'd love to see the red beltline - it's unique and would work well with what you've done so far. Looking good!
Think high gloss black beltline and go for red wing mirrors like a gp...defo black light surrounds..also red around your air in take..wouldn't have the stripe at the bottom of the doors though.

Thanks guys... I've ordered the red belt line tape.
I'll do one side and take a step back... Like you say it's only tape, easily removed.
Not sure about the GP style red mirror covers... Only looking for subtle amounts of red!

I think something like these in red would be really cool. Take lots of pictures of the beltline, too. I'd love to see what that looks like.
Did you mention what the wheels were? They look awesome.
My only other suggestion would be read brake calibres. Take the wheels off, tape up over your rotors (be really liberal with the tape, make sure everything is covered) and scrub down your calibres with some brake cleaner. Try and get lots of the dust off, etc. Then grab a can of brake spray paint. Spray those puppies down and make em shine bright red. With the added visibility from the rims, I think it'll look really cool and give it a nice subtle, sporty look.

Here is an example of a red beltline...Plus this car is for sale and I know the owner and the car...great car, even better guy. He is a MA at my dealership, looking to pass a great car onto the next buyer and get a bike.

In the uk at the moment there is huge interest in the FJCW style and in particular red and black and also the GP is such an icon lots of guys go for the red wing mirrors, it aint subtle but it sure makes a statement...we have some wild MINIS over here, but us Brits are a tad eccentric!!!

I'm getting ready to the do the same thing this weekend for my wife's R53. Here's a mockup of where I might go with it. Everything is sitting in closet ready to go (birthday present)

That mock up was done a while back and I decided to go with these rims instead
