As I live in the frozen tundra outside of the Land of Cleves, PKT RKT is hybernating. I did work out there and hooked the trickle charger to it as it was its monthly turn at the juice (getting the cover off is a PITA).
Did have an exciting moment while fitting a light fixture over it though, had to lean the fixture on the roof. MAJOR "hibbie jeebies" - will it scratch it, what if the bolt holding the fixture braks, what if the garage roof caves in, OH MY GOD!!!! A very large towel later (never mind the cover was one) ALL was well with the world and PKT had a neon light over it and its owner, once more, had averted a major heart attack.
Can't wait till the salt is gone......

I put on an RSPeed exhast!

Love it... really nice tone. A few bugs, but workable.

Let's see. It got up into the 50's here on Saturday so my boyfriend finally got around to installing the chrome grill he got me for Christmas. Then I washed the car and vacuumed out the inside.

After that, we headed down to Philly for a little MINI gathering at the Silk City Diner. Awesome old diner. Like stepping back in time.

All in all a great MINI weekend.

Got it back from the autobody shop friday night with a new freshly painted bonnet and cowl, so I put 3 coats of Zaino on the new parts. Then I painted my tachometer trim ring.

Well my weekend project started down in Nyack NY when I ran into KOOLMINI . He sold me a set of aero grills a while ago and I only installed the top ,but I installed it with the chrome outer trim . You see I used the factory chrome outer trim from the grill and spent alot of time on the bandsaw and dremel. It looked great , but I avoided the bottom because of how much was involved . Well KOOLMINI asked me when/if I planned on doing the same to the bottom grill. I had put the project off far to long. Soooooo, I spent 3 hours outside in the cold on Friday night( because my garage is my woodshop, read NO space) cutting the new grill up and cutting out the lower grill painted area and any support pieces involved. I left the chrome trim in place and installed only the mesh section. WOW it looks GREAT !! I have the only chrome trimmed areo grill I have ever seen.

We (the St. Louis MINI Club) had Randy in to do one of his infamous pulley parties. !5% pulley, ECU, wires and Densos mean I've got a different beast under my right foot after this weekend!

I went up to Lake Tahoe for the weekend, but I didn't want to have to put on chains so I left my MINI home

I went to Orlando to attend Spring Thing with 100+ other Minis/MINIs. Had a blast! We all ended up at a show on Sunday at Pointe Orlando... I got to park right on the main drag (I-drive,) and Dolly looked great! So great that I won "Favorite MINI Cooper!" I'm so excited!!!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. This weekend I also looked up the address of Shore Motorsports in Howell, NJ. Going to take a ride over there very soon and pick up some Zaino!

filled the tank with Sunnoco Super Premium (may be my imagination, but it seems to have a tiny bit more zip).

I didn't do anything to my mini, but i did install a new door for her room. My garage door opener was kaput so I swung by Lowes and picked up a new one. It only took me 5 hours to install. We then drove her uptown (I live in New Orleans) to catch a few Mardi Gras parades. Was able to park close to the route in a spot no other car could fit in

Took her to the car wash. Tried to drive through Loch Raven, but the road was closed. I just drove around all day yesterday and wasted like a half a tank of gas, but didn't really go anyplace.

it was nice in the north west. so we got up early and went for a nice drive out hyway 101 to a lodge and had lunch. just motoring. the traffic was light this time of year and the car made the trip great. lots to see and people still look at the mini and think it is a cool car. the road we travel on is very twisty so it made for a great afternoon.

I went to Point Orlando to a great MINI mini meet. Lots of cars, old and new. 81f , sunny, a great event. The food was good too. I saw Holly and Dolly, Nobull and many others. Great fun.

I worked on my Mini all weekend, getting things ready for Autox season.....

1. Finally installed the H-sport front sway bar I've had since last July -- that's one install not for the faint of heart.

2. While under the car I installed the Moss Fan cover I've also had for a while

3. Reinstalled the Leda coilovers and new springs at all 4 corners

4. Installed JLM's new spherical bearing front camber plates, and

5. Put my Falken Azenis and SSR comps back on and took off my snow tires. Of course we are now expecting snow showers in the DC area tomorrow

6. Went out for a test drive -- and nothing fell off. I do however have a rattle in the front right to troubleshoot.
