As my 03 Indi Blue MCS nears port (this Friday!), I was wondering if I had one of the very first, since they didn't ake the MCS in IB in 02. Anyone else out there getting/have one? What was your prod date?

I have a 2002 Mini in indi blue with the white top. I love the color.

Chris, i am also waiting for an 03 mcs indi blue (great choice you made) my original production date was 9/25 but got pushed back to 10/11...my dealer says the plant ran out of transmissions, but i am dubious...in any event they told me it is now in status 150 which means it is nearing production so maybe i'll se it in 4 weeks...or so

My door jam sticker shows 6/02. This was a vehicle that was ordered by someone else and delivered to the dealer and the customer cancelled out at the last minute. I was asked if I wanted it and because it basically had the options I wanted on my Mini anyways I grabbed it. Their were a few more more Minis at the dealer in Indi Blue but I'm not sure if they were 2003 models or not. My sticker shows that charge of $400 for the Indy Blue which I think is kind of strange. The dearler says it's because it's a metallic paint, which is again strange, because most all American car companies dont charge extra for metallic paint. Anyways, it's a great color and I'am sure you'll love the color and as a whole the Mini itself. The car reminds me of my earlier years in life (I'm 55 now) when I drove Triumphs and MG's. This car is my little toy as I drive a Chevrolet Silverado for my general purpose driving.

 

You'd definitely be one of the first to have the Cooper'S' in Indi Blue. They only started production of that color in the MCS not to long ago. Be sure to post pics for all to see. I've only seen the odd pic of one. Most pics are the Coopers, not the 'S'.
I was torn between the Dark Silver and the Indi Blue. Settled with the Dark Silver MCS 'cause I couldn't wait another 3 months for the Indi Blue MCS. Good choice with the color options.

Opps! I forgot to tell you that I dont have an "S". That explains that.

 

Actually, I saw the first INDY BLUE 'S' at my dealer about a week and a half ago. THat really must have been one of the first. And at my dealer this past weekend, there were 2 more IB S. I guess that's pretty popular. I must say that the Indy Blue is a great color but it really looks best on a Cooper. Normally I am not a chrome fan but the IB looks spectacular with chrome. Thus I find IB to look best on a Cooper and if I were getting a Cooper - that's the color I'd want.

This past weekend I also saw my first BRG S. Let me tell you - to my surprise it looked like a total knockout!!! It looks 10X better without the chrome!!! COngrats to everyone out there who ordered a BRG S (especially with the white top). It looks out of this world...if I could only change my order! I wish I had my camera with me last Saturday!!!

Hey I'm on the Don Juan too!!! I posted earlier that there are 344 MINI's on board. So there's going to a lot of motorers in the next month. Production date 9/14/02
