Jet engine powered MINI and think, the ABF MINI would still smoke it.

But that's a design difference between cars and aircraft. Aircraft engines(helicopter and prop driven planes specificaly) are designed to put out a certain level of power constantly and the rotor/prop changes angles to increase or decrease lift/speed.

For the amount of time and money that was spent building that i'd have put it all into the engine. I bet it would have been just as fast if not faster.
