Yeah I havent gotten a wave in a while now. Its usually because the other person doesnt see me.

Around here we normally flash bright's at each other. I've never had a wave or been flashed by another driver, I don't think many people here in SA know about the waving, only those that are on forum's & modd their MINI's. But I do get a hoot from one specific silver cooper all the time

its cool because everyone just looks around after the honk "Puuuuump" - and then they see two MINI's. So cute :D

I give the peace sign with my hand on the wheel and a peace on side of window when i can with traffic. I dont always get a wave back.

Who here is in socal? Any local inland empire drivers?

I do and a few folks around here have started to return the action. A few days before Christmas I was in Knoxville and got a wave from a nice lady there!

Always. I get a reply wave and nod about 30 or 40% of the time.

I think r53 owners are most likely to wave back.

On my 3rd Mini and I have always waved .
If they make visual contact not only do I wave but I give them and little honk.
Hopefully that will bring them to smile too / why not wave back ? Life is too short!
70% to 75% wave back rate , guys wave back more than gals..
