Female here >> waving, flashing, beeping, smiling ... all depending on how much lead time there is toward the other MINI. It's been almost a year and we still get a thrill out of sharing our MINI fun with everyone who is interested!!

I see no MINIs but I've heard others live here in central IL. But, I drive all over the US and am always watching for fellow motorers ... unless, of course, I'm talking on the phone, putting on makeup, reading a map, eating lunch, flirting with my hubby ... NOT!!!

No noticeable difference to me regarding whether MINI females or MINI males are more likely to respond to an unexpectedly friendly greeting on the road. And, we've had similar experiences when we're in our other car, see a MINI, get excited, and forget we're not in ours.

>>Well I'm a woman AND I wave. Shocking isn't it?

I still wave, honk, flash my lights even if I get no response. Around here, MINIs have become ubiquitous, and I still do all that stuff. Ya never know....they might wave back

I used to flash the lights all the time. Sometimes i would get a response and sometimes not. Nowadays, if i see another MINI i'll look to see if they notice me, and if they do, I'll wave. Most of the time, it seems nobody is even paying attention.

I was driving a while back with a couple of friends, and they got a kick out of how MINI drivers would acknowledge each other with lights, waving, etc. They would tell me "What is this, a cult thing?"

Hi Chad! YOU know I will ALWAYS wave back no matter who it is..I'm usually the MINIAC flashing my lights and waving first. Lemon Drop is here finally, so chances are you won't miss me going by! Hope to see you soon on the road.

Kim

>>I've noticed that women will only wave if there is another guy in the car. Even my wife is tenative about waving. She will if the other driver (always a guy) does first.
>>There is a red mini near my work driven by a woman. She has snubbed me 3 times... I'll get her to wave eventually, I hope..
>>I have also noticed that women are not looking around like guys are... they never seem to even notice there is another MINI passing them.
>>
>>Check out my sig... it says it all.

I got better than a wave the other day. I was down in south jersey doing some errands and I stopped next to a fellow at a light. He looked down and saw my snow tires on my black steelies, I looked down and saw his nice rims. We rolled down our windows and had a quick conversation. My passenger commented on how awesome all we mini drivers are about our sense of community. He drives a VW GTi 1.8t and we have met some other cool drivers in his car, but not nearly as much as miniers.

Yep, still do. In fact a bunch of junior highers on their walk home today shouted in chorus, "Cool car!" I gave the the big thumbs up and grinned from ear to ear.

I got my first wave this morning on the way to work!

I pulled up behind a BRG/BRG MC at a light, and thw woman driver saw me in the mirror and waved. It's nice to finally get one after seeing a few non-wavers on the road. What's with them, anyway?

I'm getting more waves now that when I first purchased Bloo. And I'm not the first to wave anymore, I love that.

Waving 'til my arm falls off.

Few waves anymore. In San Francisco, there are now so many MINIs that the novelty has worn off. A year ago, I had all of the tiniest parking spaces in town to myself. Now when I hunt for them, they seem to already be filled with, you guessed it, other MINIs.

Too many MINIs here in Miami. I still wave from time to time, but most other MINI owners don't seem to care much anymore. Women rarely wave back here.

Anyway, still love the cars.

Warning to BMW: Do not flood the market with MINIS!

I always try to wave or make eye contact. Almost every lady I've seen driving waves or smiles, been completely ignored by several guys...mostly older guys.

When driving with the family (wife & 2 kids) we yell "Cooper check" when we spot one.

At oncoming Mini's, I'd give two quick flashes. Usually get a flash, smile and wave back. Going in the same direction, I'm usually overtaking too quickly so I give them a quick double toot to get their attention (in case they were on the cell....the Borla Race will get their attention). Don't know and don't care if it's female. Too busy driving and I'm already spoken for anyway If they didn't notice or didn't care, they're really NOT genuine Mini drivers (probably will trade it in next year for the next hip thing kind of owner...usually dirty too) Shame on them "POSERS".

Oh my gosh, I get all slobbery when I see a MINI. only 3000 MINI miles under my belt and I've seen 5 others totatl. Last week on coffee break at Starbucks a lady drove up in a DS/B. My co workers were as excited
as I was! They talked to me about my car by her first name...Blossom Too. Are we too crazy or what
Its definitely the what!
Sunday in Pacifica at the Half Moon Bay Brewing Co. We were parking, and saw a IB/B MC drive in...
and my boyfriend looked at me...ohhheee see that MC? yes lets go park next to it...and we went back and reparked the car.
This owning a MINI is gotta be the wildest trip going. good clean exhilarating fun....

My new theme song is I can't drive 65...when I get my first ticket, cause I am definitely due, and I will pay with a smile on my face, 15 yrs of driving since the last one, and I am having the time of my life!!

30K miles and I wave or flash whenever I can. Occasionally I wave when I'm driving my wife's RAV4 ..... kind of embarassing .......

Fessing up: I'm one of those little 'ol ladies that waves and gets all excited when I see another MINI, I don't care who's driving it. The husband does too when he's driving...... 2 years of motoring and waving. There's only one other MINI owner within 200 miles, and she doesn't drive hers much, so it's rare to see any in my area. It hurts my feelings when we're snubbed.

I still wave...but I get snubbed by other MINI (non-enthusiasts). I live in a little town in SoCal, and I've seen 6 to 10 different MINI's driving around. Most folks wave back. I get all excited when I see other MINI's...I just love em.

I saw my MINI twin (DS/black w/ bonnet stripes) on the 15 freeway the other day heading to San Diego and caught up to him, we both rolled down our windows and gave the thumbs up. They're special cars, so keep waving and acting goofy!

Wish I could wave! Last week drove my 04 MCS from Western Pa. to Spartenburg, SC AND BACK..... nearly 1000 miles...saw ZERO Minis. Did get some waves & honks from other cars which is kinda cool.
