New lights/coming of age
Hello all, I JUST got my new halos in and adjusted (the best I can do for tonight) so I naturally took some pictures to post up here. I figured that since I'm new as well I'll just post some old ones too so you can see how the mini has transformed in just the 5 months I've had it. Enjoy!
Oh, and for anybody interested in getting those aftermarket lights (I've seen a couple threads about them on here), here are some more pictures dedicated purely to that. From just my driving around tonight, I can honestly say they are better than stock, not by much, but are a huge pain to level. As you can see in the picture I still have some work to do with the cutoff.
The install was very easy I thought. The rings could have a better fit but I can't complain. Not noticeable at all unless you REALLY look for it. As for the wiring, the highs and lows are just plug and play, just need some leveling. As for the halos, those were a little tricky tying them in with the running lights but not bad at all with the correct connector plugs and splicers. If you want I'll take some pictures and post em up....if it ever stops raining in new england.....
Alright, so the weather is finally nice and I got some pictures that will hopefully help. AggieMini, I got mine off of Ebay as well as they are far cheaper than Moss Mini who also sell the same thing. The high and lows are just plug and play with the big plug you'll see in the picture. I tried to show how I wired down to the running lights the best to my ability. I used some wiring splicers with plugs so if I ever want to change back to stock all I need to do is pull out the plugs and leave the female connector in place; plus it makes the wiring wayyy faster/easier. Also, to be honest, the lights do look a bit ricey with the globes being purpleish if you're above the light cut, but in my opinion it looks pretty cool
Hope this helps!

WRAP THOSE WIRES!!!! You've got voltage flying around in there... and a short means a brief trip with no lights - and you know that'll happen at highway speeds. Scotch 33+ electrical tape is gear, holds up to underhood temps, doesn't get that black sticky residue, and you can over-wrap those wires for $3.50. Also hoping you've fused the 12v+ wiring. If that's duct (or worse, packaging) tape holding your wiring in place, please over-wrap those wires with 33+ and secure physically against them blowing around, detaching, or otherwise causing problems!
If you've done all that and had left everything exposed for the pictures, completely understand and apologies for any inconvenience....
The lights look great though, and glad they're working better than OE.

Don't worry! It's all wrapped up like that. In the pictures I took tape off of the connections to show the connectors I used, but everything is secure in there and I actually used plastic zip-ties to run them along other lines already secured down as well. But good call about that!
I can't imagine much worse than traveling at highway speeds and having the lights cut out on you...granted it would only be the halos which are just for show
