Wife lock the only key in our 2006 S!! I can get a hanger on the inside handle but it will not open the door, even when pulled twice like when the car is running but not in park...HELP...or it's AAA!

Wish I could help but you are not alone.
2 weeks ago I jumped out of my truck to throw some mail in the box and the door latched AND IT WAS LOCKED! Truck running, in the street 11 degrees at 6:30 in the morning. I can't for the life of me figure how it happened because the keyless entry unlocks both doors. Anyway I had to call AAA and waited 30 minutes for them to arrive. More mad at myself because the remote starter system allows the key to be pulled while the engine is running.
Its probably going to be AAA, a locksmith, dealer with a master key or if you can hook onto the keys try to yank 'em out past the window seal.

I believe MINI roadside assistance provides emergency lockout service...

PS: You are covered up to $100 per locksmith incident or towing to nearest MINI dealer.

 

Every 1st gen MINI (from 2005 and up) should have:

2 remote keys and 1 plastic wallet key.

I am surprised you don't have neither the second remote spare or the plastic wallet key..

 

Thank you for the mini roadside assistance#. They sent someone out right away. I bought this car used with one key and have'nt orderd the lockout key yet.

After you get all sorted out try to purchase a second replacement key from your dealer. Not cheap but worth having handy just in case (Ask about a replacement plastic key while you are at it).
