'05 MCS hatch lid (cover) same as cooper?

Does anyone know if a regular Cooper INTERIOR hatch lid is the same as the MCS hatch lid? My recent MCS purchase did not come with an INTERIOR hatch lid and I want to pick one up easy and cheap.

Thanks for any assistance.

EDIT: interior hatch lid to avoid confusion

You mean the inside hatchdoor plastic trim? Why was it missing?

They should be the same for both models.

Check www.realoem.com for accurate part diagrams and part numbers.

Hey, thanks for the link and the reply.

I think what I'm looking for is referred to as the rear window shelf seen here:

Ok gotcha!

I am sure you can find a new shelf for a good price. It is made of cardboard so it should not be terribly expensive to replace.

Edit: The shelf retails for $132.90 brand new.

OK, the shelf of the cooper is solid all the way. The shelf for the Cooper S has a plastic mesh/grille. This is to allow for extra ventilation as the battery in the R53 S is mounted underneath the trunk floor. In the R50 Cooper, the battery is mounted in the engine.

I see. Not a bad price IF I have to buy new from the stealership.

And more ventilation for the battery, you say? Into my cabin? Awesome! Nothing like sulfuric acid byproducts wafting around to get the driving pace up!

Thanks again for the help!

LOL

No problem!

Actually the price quoted was not from the stealership but from a Realoem.com sponsor (ECS Tuning) (You'll see their banners while in there).

Well that's pretty neat. I'm still learning new things; even after 2 years. I <3 my MINI.
