FYI - I think there is a marked improvement with the JCW brakes vs. stock. My husband's 2006 MCSC had them, and I bought mine without. Within a month I ordered mine and had them installed.

My hubby also ordered the grocery bag holder with his mini (back in March). Do you think it's even installed yet?

Have fun with your baby and remember, it's the ability to accessorize and modify the mini that has garnered so many fans!

If I remember, Gabe (MotoringFile) interviewed the VP of Marketing from MINI and he said the average MINI owner spends $ 5,000 moding their car after the purchase. Seems like a lot, but looks like you are on your way.

These all sound like reasonable additions, and I would never deny a MINI owner the satisfaction of you-ifying.............but.............one must always be on guard against the dangers of crapping up your MINI. I'm not saying you are doing this...not at all...but I think it can happen.

I might make a general suggestion towards spending some effort on other facets of the MINI experience that you can divert some energy towards. Start a Mini/MINI colllection.....go to a driving school and ply your skills at an appropriate venue.....serve as an officer of a local MINI club....detail like a mad fiend...organize a MINI charity event...or something else.

Having enthusiasm is super...can't blame you there. Just channel it so that when you get your MINI "just right" you can stop and still maintain your enthusiasm and fun.

Again, this is a general comment....the accessories you've mentioned do not seem over-the-top at all.

Hmmm... we're all individuals that's for sure. The only option my Mini has that I wish it DIDN'T have is the chrome pacage... is that stuff removable?

Sounds like you need to sit down and figureout just what oyu want your MINI to be,do it and then be done. (and stop visiting the dealer to see what ascessories they have in stock!!!!) I know exactly how I want my MINI to look and preform and exactly how its going to get there. I did half the interior work this weekend, so I'm getting closer, but take your time and enjoy the expriance. Mr Kart has a good point and some very good advice.

Boy do I know what you mean! Please see my post in "First Gear" today and gallery pics. I only now got around to introducing myself. I think it is in part because I've been so busy adding parts! Best of luck, and enjoy! MCS DS/W with checkers around the sunroof 02.

iPod adapter & aux. input?

hey acitydweller... glad you are enjoying accessorizing.

question... and i think i know the answer... it is possible to have both the iPod adapter and the Aux. Input? I'm thinking of getting both so that I can have the freedome to use my iPod (or possible future device) either way.

Excellent...have fun you-ifying!!! Be prepared to stop when you reach perfection though...some go to far. Either way, it's all good...it's a MINI! A bit of extra cheeky fun is still a very good fit!!!

Me? I got a brake-light mod, a shorty antenna, a clear bra, a glove-box organizer, and a John Cooper siggnature badge. Then I was done. Three years later and I still can't think of a way to improve on it's utter perfection......for me!!!

It is possible to have both the aux and ipod adapter. I had the aux installed when I got the car, and added the ipod adapter myself yesterday.

You can't have both the ipod and the CD changer; they both use the same connection on the back of the radio...

Thanks Ed! I don't really want a CD changer since I have an iPod, so that's not a problem.

Not to hjack this thread, but followup question... I was thinking about getting the DICE iPod adapter, which I think displays info on the head unit (unlike the Mini/BMW adapter), however, I know it has to connect to the CD changer in the boot, which is a more difficult install. Does the Mini/BMW adapater connect there also or does it connect to the back of the head unit? How difficult an install is it? I may just let the dealer do it because I'm not handy at all, but their install prices are ridiculous!

Excuse me but this is your second post about how much modding satisfies YOU! That's fine if you left it at that. You are telling people to stop at levels that YOU think are appropriate. I don't think acitydweller was asking for an intervention for his "problem".
