They forgot to mention that it has 937,546 miles on it and was submerged in New Orleans during the great Katrina flood.

If it's on CL and it seems to good to be true - it's probably a scam...

I've seen a couple of those on the Boston-area Craigs List. I think it was an '04 S with 6x,xxx miles and appeared in mint shape.
For $5,000.00.
gotta be some kind of hustle.

One easy way to find out, email him once he says something about being out of the country or a shipping co. You know it's a scam.

There's that rare occaision where the seller just doesn't know what it's worth. But as mentioned - if they seem reluctant to show you the actual car - and it's title - then it's a scam.

In this day and age of the internet if a seller ONLINE doesn't know the approximate value of the vehicle, it's a scam. This is why I ditched the idea of buying a used MINI and took the five year payment plan on a new one. I know how well it was maintained and have the piece of mind and it was off the boat, brand new.

scam

These scam ads are all over craigslist. If you put their phone number in google they usually come up on scam report lists.
There have ben people in the miami area that have been robed when they show up to buy.
