Poor wiper spray

Anyone know where or what I can do to get an after-market wiper sprayer nossel?

The two streams that shoot out just don't do the trick. I'd like to find some nossel that provides a wider spray.

I have an 03 cooper.
Thanks

Whats the issue with the washers? how many million cars have this system with no problem? There might just be a smaller issue you need to correct. I had an issue this morning where my squirters were not working. It turn out to be the hose going from chassis to the hood had a kink in it. Moved the hose and all better

Thanks for the reply. The squitters work fine. They spray out a v-like patter from each side. I am after spray that covers more area.

this is the current pattern

I know what you mean, and would love to have a wider spray pattern for the nozzles. the jet streams just dont cover enough surface area to clean effectively.

something like this....but black, and minus the led lol

I'd just invest in some good wipers.
If the sprayers work fine I would not mess with them.
Then they might now work as good.
The real trick is having good wipers, I went with the Piaa's
They clean the windshield so well that after they pass you can see the thin layer of water evaporate!!

the spray nozzle itself is adjustable. If you take a pin and stick it in the hole of the nozzle (either of them ) you can adjust you pattern to spray further apart, and cover more area. Ever now and again i give mine a small adjustment.

Unfortunately, I think you're stuck with the nozzles you have. I've never seen or heard of an after-market nozzle that does what you're looking for.
The nozzles are, to an extent, adjustable.
Make sure you're using a good quality washer solution.
For what it's worth, the last time I was at the dealer (MINI of Peabody in Massachusetts), the tech saw the bottle of Rain-X windshield-washer fluid I had in the back seat, and suggested I stay away from it. He said that he had seen washer systems fail from using it.
He had given me good input in the past, so I took his advice.
Now I stick with Prestone.
I'm just sayin'....

I was thinking this today, the ones on a family members Volvo that give out a "mist" across the entire windsheild I feel are much much more effective in the winter time than the V spray pattern.

I personally really dislike the V pattern, there is always a spot on the passenger side that is "dry" or requires alot more fluid to reach.

I'm looking to fix this as well in my 09 JCW. I did buy new wipers (SilBlades) which are awesome. However, the nozzles leave much of the windshield dry, and the wipers won't clear salt off a dry windshield...

Good to know. I got mine at MoP and am still on whatever stuff they had in there but was thinking of switching to the Rain-X stuff.

this may sound silly but I'm gonna throw this out there. Are you using your defrosters? One of things I've learned over the years of cleaning glass is the hotter the better. if its 30 degrees outside you my want to crank that defroster as high its going to go. You'd be surprised at the difference

I have to say, I agree with the OP. I would prefer a wider "fan" of washer fluid spray than the laser stream that comes from the MINI washers.

I tried this yesterday and it helped a little in the areas that were wet, but it doesn't help get water to spots that are dry.
