Turning ABS off on 04' R53

Whats the best way to turn ABS off on these cars? Pull the fuse, relay or just unplug the unit? Planned to Rally-X the car and don't want ABS on...

Pulling the fuse will do it. I've done it just to see what it was like. I forget which fuse I pulled, I think there were a few that were designated as ABS. Note that for whichever fuse I pulled, the speedometer, trip, ave mpg, ave speed, and odometer all stopped working as well.

They linked sevral systems to the same fuse or something. It is too keep you from intentionally disabling ABS and then driving on the street. But I did anyway. It was cool to be able to lock the rear tires to slide and help the car rotate. This was before I starded modding my car.

Doesn't ABS also go off when you turn off the DSC/ASC?

I also wish it went off, but it does not.... I left foot brake on gravel and this will set the ABS off all the time... No fun...

Your tires are either worn, or suck to begin with.

bing bing bing, except my abs is still alittle odd. car was equiped with fading azenis. still it would be much more managable without the abs

my abs went out, haha
with my MINI it seems doesn't seem to have much of a difference between where my abs kicked in and where my wheel locked up. but i'm guessing the surface has a lot to do with it. your back wheels locked up? when I stomped on it, my front right wheel locked up, none of the others. I didn't repeatedly try it, but....

your fronts will lock up because they brake harder than the rears. if the brake bias was the same they would both lock up

When on a loose surface and left foot braking mid corner to change the attitude of the car (slight brakes and full power) you will lock the rear wheels... This means that you pitch your car in and have the angle just right and then ABS kicks in and pulls the car back in line.... Not the fast way to go on gravel or slick surface...

LFB'in was used to pitch my car in here as "flickin" the car does not work on snow or ice... You need to change the balance of the car with the brake and allow the car to oversteer in a controled fashion...

ah yes, this is true I was thinking he was talking about just stomping on the brakes to lock them up on purpose and see what happens type of deal
