What wires and plugs to run?

I have a 05 cooper S- it has an alta cold air intake, milltek exhaust, supercharged with a 15% pulley---- what plugs, wires, and coil to use?
I was looking at the denso irridium plugs(don't know if I should use standard or cooler plugs) msd coil, and nology hot wires- has anyone used this combo- basically I'm having a hard start and seems alittle sluggish off line/ I'm thinking it's old plugs wires and coil...anyone please help with which to choose

OEM Wires and coil have proven themselves to work fine in applications as great as 300hp plus. If your's are older just replacing them with the same will be more the sufficient.

For plugs 1 range cooler is a good idea for the mods you have. The factory runs one range colder for the JCW of the same vintage. I'd steer clear of the Denso plugs, most have had the best results with the NGK's with some reports of the Brisk brand plugs also being a good alternative.

BRISK all the way, you can find them at http://www.autoxcooper.com/alta_gomi...7-engines.html

Wires, I like the IE's a great 8mm wire set for only $28.00, at http://www.autoxcooper.com/ie_engines.html

From experience Nology wires will net you nothing more than good stock wires.

Brisk plugs
Stock Coil
Stock wires, or if you want some purdy red ones, Magnecor.
Save your $$ on the MSD and NOlogy.

IMHO, of course.

Does he have to buy them from you? Are you offering advice, or just advertising?

Are you currently having any issues with the plugs using have now? Depending on where you live (climate), you may not need colder plugs.

I have: Alta 2.0CAI, Alta 17%, 1 Ball Mod, stock 8mm, and coil pk.

I am in New England area, always use 91-93 octane, and have Bosch Platinum 4's. Never any issues. I had colder plugs in before, and had no ignition issues either, but the Bosch plugs gave better low end torque performance than the colder plugs.

Hope this helps.

The OP can buy them from anyone they wish.

I was offering advise and advertising. I could sell any number of wires and or plugs, but don't because I think what I offer is a great product. If you review my postings you'll find there are 100's of posts with just advise.

Now back to the OP.

Thanks for asking, Dustin

That is true. Of course there is just as many with you pushing your wares and those are a lot more obvious. Just saying.

Back to OP.
