WoHo!

Just went earlier today and got my MCS ordered from Tom Bush.

We got the new guy Scott. He told us that he graduated from Massachutes (? ) and came down here to go to Miami pro football tryouts, had offers for europe but didnt take them. So he came back to his uncles in OP and had an interview at Tom Bush, got hired and has been doing his thing for 2 months. He did seem very new as we had to remind him of our copy of the receipt. But he was very nice and not pushy at all.

I tried to get the rear fogs and explained to my dad about the switch but he shot it down, said $100 was dumb for a switch, he's kinda right but I was payin!

It was great though, he saw our spec and said "I have to tell you about this invincashield. We use roadblock and it's $590 with install, the invinca is around $400 but not as good. I could discount it some for you, say $95." My dad instantly says "how about $450" then scott "well... ok I can do $450" (he really thought about it hard). But other than that he was good, thought he would be pushy and annoying, but wasnt. Overall he did a great job.

Here's the spec:
2004 eb/eb MCS
-premium
-front fogs
-xenons
-hk
-4 british flag valve caps
-drak gray cloth w/ anthracite dash
-grey floor mats
-roadblock

Cant wait for delivery, hoping for october but I guess I will find out soon which month club I'll be joining.

Anxiously awaiting the arrival of my 2004 MCS

Bryan,
Aloha and welcome to the MINI family (officially)
Sounds great and congrats on the order.
Hope everything turns out well.
Now you get to go searching around on MCO for the latest and greatest stuff.
Lots of people buy things long before they get their MINIs and have it all ready to go when the car arrives.
Certainly spending some time reading about all the things helps to pass the time while you are waiting.
Cheers.

Oh come on, it's torture enough that we didnt do another test drive because of traffic and rain, but you had to go and rub it in. Oh well!

At least my wait will be well worth it, mine is a 2004, your's isnt Ha!

Glad to see you get that MCS on order. Being a ’04 the earliest club you would be in is the October club. The model year changes the first week of Oct and you have a ’04.

I got my ’02 MCS from Tom Bush MINI a year ago. I thought the people there were nice, but at that time got the feeling they knew it was a matter of supply and demand. They didn’t go that extra step to help with anything that came up. I like many others, did not live close to the dealer they bought their MINI’s from. Little problems come up from time to time with long distance orders and the people at Tom Bush seemed complacent about my worries. I hope they are treating you as if you were the only customer in the world.

Once again, I’d like to say welcome to the world of MINI and hope your baby gives you as much fun and worry free miles as my has.

Go over to mini2 and check out the 2004 changes thread, paul has got the low down on all the changes. I would copy paste, but mini2 is down right now.

I've been lurking and posting on these boards since last November I think. I mostly look at the performance board. I want a Magnaflow exhaust, Alta intake, and the Madness swaybar. Right now do to the fact that I have worked at Burger King (hence the Bk, even though I hate it) for a year and a half and have saved half of each paycheck and spent the other half, all I have left is $450 plus the $150 worth of stuff I sold on e-bay. Needless to say my parents dont want me spending it since I'm off to FSU on the 15, even though I have funds. Whatever, I'm getting the Alta and the Madness when this last check hits on the 14! They'll be sitting in my room at home (because I'll be in an 11x11.6 room with a roomy) all ready for the october delivery (crossing fingers) with any luck. Or it'll be my xmass present to myself.

As you can see, I've had MINI fever forever and I cant stop myself when I get started! Wooooooooooooooo!

Tom Bush has been good so far, but the relationship is only an hour old so we'll see. They offered my dad a deal on one of their solid gold coopers because they had like 8 on the lot and they werent moving. That gold was obviously a mistake.

Argh, it's my thread so I'll hijack it and talk about whatever!

Thanks for reading, gotta vent the MINI obsession, even though it doesnt help!

Ah poo, feel like talking some more.

My dad blew up the options at the last minute on me. I started with xenons, front fogs, and hk. Last saturday my dad starts to get anxious to go order as this will be his commuter (explained later) and he gets on miniusa and plays around. So he adds the premium, roadblock, valve caps, and floor mats. None of witch I really wanted but gave in because he's only paying for most of it. Turned out a little over $25k.

I'm pretty happy with the way my dad got that roadblock and really wana see how good it is. They had a cr/w cooper that was sold earlier in the day that had the invinca (not as good says scott, I would agree since they use it over at the BMW side). We were looking at it after the owner came back from the cars maiden voyage with him. He was walking away whilst we were doing so and he looked back to see us playing with the invinca. It is almost invisable untill you get right on it. It's not that thick either, but thick enough I suppose.

Explained later:
I will be at FSU when we actually get the car, sadly, and I wont be taking it with me for any of the 4 years except for little 1 month stints here and there (no problem except getting home which is 3 hours away). Father has strict instructions to let no one drive it untill the break in is over. After that only he and mother will be allowed. My brother doesnt deserve it, shows no respect to the MINI or anyone. I'm also gonna draw up a contract that they are to sign so I can keep it clean and with low mileage. I cant be taking it in 4 years with 80k miles. I told him no more than 40k. Sometimes I wish I just lived at home and went to UNF. sndwave probably knows what I'm talking about.

Ah, so pathetic is the soul of he who does not posess his beloved mini, but only a computer to speed his pain along, although it be a very slow speeding! 3 months, I've already waited 9 or so.

Untill I feel like ranting again.
Adeu! (or however you spell it)
