this is the result of my commute to work today!
what do you guys think this will cost to repair?
the bumper isn't really damaged, it seems that it just took the paint clear off!
please don't ask the details, they are too lame to speak about.

YIKES!

Don't sweat it man... It's a minor Motoring Scar... Like a Pirate.

I doubt it would cost more than a couple(few?) hundred $$$ to repaint... Hey, take this as an opportunity to get the trim matched!

I feel your pain nonetheless.

Sorry to hear that! No idea what it would cost to repair, but I wouldn't have MINI do it!

bummer NFO..

Hopefully it won't be too much to prep and paint.

I like the looks of the standard cooper better than the aero bumper..

Stay with the standard bumper. I think the pepper white looks very classy with the chrome.

There is a Dealer on ebay that is selling front and rear bumpers for both the S and Cooper. They are selling for like $80. They have them left over from the Aero kit swaps. Check them out. They might have your color.
If I could remember the item number, I will let you know.

As a fellow Cooper CVT Pepper White owner it pains me to see your beautiful car wounded. But beyond the clearcoat and paint scratches, I do not see any other major damage from the pics, A good bodyshop should be able to refinish and repaint your bumper and leave it good as new .

thank you!!!
i'm in the process of trying to get in touch with them.
that would be the perfect hookup if they have a pepper white bumper!
i guess it could have been much worse! (deep breath)

but the mods are kind of edgy right now. ........who, big brother, laugh !

Hope you aren't taking it to the North Scottsdale MINI Body Shop, unless you want Larry, Curly & Moe doing the work, laugh ! I've been there and it is a very painful process !

Good luck...use an independent body shop with great referrals, wish I would have...

The chrome strip looks OK to me! If they'd nabbed that, you'd probably be looking at spending much more dough.

Jerk! Some of those guys are crazy on the road! Maybe those brown shorts are bunching up a little too much on those guys.

At least the chrome inserts won't cost you much.

My incident was a hole in the plastic bumper, about the size of a dime, broke on the driving lights and a quarter size dent by the head lamp. this happen in the summer of '02, being that the car is new to the country, I went to the dealer.
had it fixed, new bumper , driving light, pulled the dent. for mere $1700.00 bucks!

Needless to say I was doing the "Ralph Cramden"
"Humina Humina Humina"!

few months later seen artical, the most expensive car to get repaired, yep our dear
MINI was one of them.

I have to take with a grain of salt, I like the cars too much!

Glenn,

Total suck NFO! Don't worry, I know the pain exactly.

I like the whole Pirate-scar idea though, it's manly, if a bit rough.
Good luck, I'd say just get it repainted, or score an MCS bumper!

Sincerely,
Ryan

Mine isn't quite as visibile as that, but I have a lot of tiny ****** and scratches on my bumper and grille. The insurance man shall tell on Thursday

Keep me posted!
