I'm looking forward to the experience. I should be ready to purchase the Cooper S next July. I'm already seen one with custom rims, ground effect and tinted windows and it looks tight.

Went for a test drive in the UK last week... Bloody Fantastic is all I have to say.

They done a good job of producing a Fab Funky car with loads of Attitude. Look forward to putting down my deposit next week.

Wento for a test drive in France (Paris) two weeks ago. Should take delivery end of July of a silver/black cooper fully loaded...thought I was going to be a PT cruiser lover and then the Mini changed my mind!

I love it!!!! You guy's ROCK! Down with the PT Cruiser. (Ha Ha). It's got nothing on the Mini. I just hope that the factory can keep up with the Mini Revoluton.

All the best,
MudBone

I had my test drive on a standard Cooper yesterday and I came away with an amazing driving experienece. I felt that car was wonderfully precise in the way it handled with absolutely no body roll whatsoever. I could make a U-turn on a two lane highway in one motion. The thing that surprized me was for a car with a short wheel-base, it had a smooth ride even over rough surfaces. Plus the car was mush quieter in the cabin than I expected. I must say the speedo in the center would take some getting used to but I think I will opt for the GPS system that puts the speedo in the center where I like it (plus less speeding tickets if I can see easily how fast I am going) The base has 115 hp but it felt plenty fast. I am going to test the Cooper S next month and I can only imagine what that will be like. I feel like I could take this car on long distances and not feel fatigued at all, it was that comfortable a ride.

I see my Cooper being an S model in dark grey with white mirrors and roof
Sport package
Auto Air
Multi-fuction steering wheel
Harmon Kardon stereo upgrade
GPS Nav. system

That should put my at 23K and change.

I can't wait to have one in my driveway!

Dave

Make sure to hammer on it, drive it like you stole it.

All I can say is drive it like you stole it because the 3 month wait (maybe shorter now) and the 1,200 mile breakin period SUCKS! When I started the car on my test-drive the fuel light was on. I drove it for an easy 5 minutes, then a rough 10. I returned it and told them to go straight to the gas station.

The test drive really is the clincher! I always liked the MINI since it first came out in '02 but I thought maybe it was a bit small. Well about a year ago I decided to get rid of my current vehicle and started looking around. I test drove a few cars and trucks but never found quite what I was looking for. Then, last October, I went down to my friendly MINI dealer and test drove a MCS. That was it. I had to have one. My new CR/W MCS will be here in April!

Funny, I never test drove at the dealer. I was there to buy one.
Summer of '02 some used car dealers were picking up MINI's
at auction. That's where I first saw the cars and test drove
them. Found that the nearest dealer was two and a half
hours away. First visit there I ordered. Second visit I picked
up my car. (Might have bought from the used car guys, but
they wanted 2k over sticker.)

Everyday, it is like I'm test driving it again. It is always fresh,
the experience always a rush!

Godspeed.
