Another 100K
Well gang I've done it again. My 05 MCS just hit 100,000 miles. I was the first to hit this mark in an 02 MCS and now in this car. Just goes to show you how well these cars hold up. BTW my old 02 is still running. The head mechanic at my dealer ship has it and puts it on the track at least once a month.
Congratulations. It makes me happy to read this. It must make you happy to see your old car still going. How is this one doing and did you buy it new? What are you going to get next time?
I have had no major issues with this car so far. If you think about it. These car are the best bang for the buck. Price, size, and gas mileage. What would I get for my next car is an unknown. I haven't found any that compares.
Congrats! Did you stick with the Mini maintenance plan (inspection I and II's), or did you just do it on your own schedule, or as things popped up?
I would have been close to you on my '05 had I not gotten a different car to commute with - I'd be at about 80k by now.

Can I ask how far you live from work or what your job is? 4,500 miles a month seems excessive. I only have 38,000 miles in 5 years.

As far as I know his business demands lots of road travel but he also has taken several cross country trips from Florida (Like to Yellowstone National Park and such).
I live about 75 miles from work. ClubmanS is close on an average but in this car I haven't taken any very long trips as yet. I did take it to the Augusta for the golf tournament if that is considered a long trip. But not by me. You just got to love a car that is so tuff that you can drive it daily and on the weekends that it to the track and hold up for over 100,000 miles.

I still autocross it and track it (and mod it). Good luck on the next 100K.Steve
Congrats on the MILEstone! I like to hear of things like this about a MINI.
Just curious, do you have any engine mods, like a pulley change or any other upgrades?

Not long after I received the car I placed a 19% pulley, intake and larger injectors. Seems as though I go thru a lot more belts than with a 15% pulley

Kind of late with this, but congrats
My April build 03 MC now has 94k miles on it. Not putting anywhere as many miles on it these days though. 25-30k a year for the first 3 years, only about 10k in the last 16 months.

Can you share some rough data on your warranty repairs in the first 100k. I should be getting an 04 with 40k ish miles on it in the next week or so. I am trying to decide it $2500 is worth it to extend the warranty to 100k or if I should just self warranty.
Wow, what a nice thing to hear. I picked up my '05 MCS with 16 miles on it in January of '05. I have 81,500mi on mine. I have not had any major repairs and it was still under warranty for the Inspection I, I have yet to do the inspection II as it's $330. Probably should just do it though, just to make sure there isn't anything going on that I don't know about.
