2nd MINI, need advice

Hello, I posted a thread here some months ago asking for help for the purchase of my first mini... it was an 04 BRG mini which I LOVED. I got it in mexico for about $14K with less than 15K miles....

I had to relocate to redmond WA, and minis are EXPENSIVE over here :( I found an 05 mini, with plenty of extras and 40K miles for $16.5 .... it sounds like a good deal to me...

I must admit I got luck with my first mini, it was in pristine condition.. but with this one.. for what things should I look out for? some key inspection points? I am taking a look at the car tomorrow.. so all suggestions are welcomed... \

Also, do you know if I can buy extended warranty from Mini?

THanks!!

MINI's are popular and expensive for used in the Pacific Northwest. We purchased our first in Portland while living in Oregon. Sounds like you found a great deal and would definitely have NW MINI check it out if at all possible to make sure there is nothing going on with it and they could tell you about extended warranty's as well.

It's hard to tell without knowing differences in options, etc.

But if it's in better condition, I would tend towards: "yes" - worth the extra $2k. If nothing else you have more warranty to find covered faults, which is especially nice when buying used.

$16.5= Premium stereo, sun roof, no ASC or DSC, leather interiors (2 colors), no fog lights, upper rack to put stuff, multi function wheel, "nicer rims"

$19 = normal stereo, sun roof, auto dim rearview mirror, DSC, leather interior (1 color), multi function wheel, fog lights , stripes, white 5 spikes rims,

What do you think?
Thaanks!!

it doesn't matter how good the deal is now. it's an '05 so it's probably in pretty good shape and a good one. motor happy
