Horible Gas Mileage! HELP!!
I've noticed lately that my car has been getting horrid gas mileage lately. So bad that I can watch my gas level drop severely over the course of about 20 min of driving. I've recently had a 15% reduct pulley installed, but I wouldnt expect this kind of drop! Could that be it? Is there anything else I can look for?
I've been reqading some "mileage" posts and I'm seeing that people are stating they are getting BETTER mileage after a 15% reduction. This is odd to me as it seems I am getting the opposite. Is there anything I can do maintenence-wise that I can look into or have looked into to find the reason for this?
Seriously, a trip to Kissimme FLA from Orlando FLA cost me a quarter tank of gas! That is like HUMMER MILEAGE!

Shoot us some numbers, not uncommon to get 20-24MPG in moxed driving if you've got a heavy foot.
If you're saying the gas mileage changed significantly after the pulley mod, double-check your work to make sure anything you disconnected was reconnected, and check all plugs on the wiring harness to be sure the ECU isn't running your car horribly rich or something.
Could (likely) be that your pulley is simply causing a change in gravity in the driver's side footwell... it's a common side effect...
Wear lighter shoes.

Just looked on Google Maps. That's less than 25 miles? Yeah, that would be really bad mileage even for a Hummer.

That's typical of most cars. I find that after filling up, the gas gauge will read "full" for quite some time, then drop fairly quickly through most of the gauge's range, and then when the low-fuel warning light comes on, I still have 100+ miles left.
I think that one of the consumer-protection laws says that when the gauge reads "empty", there has to be a certain number of gallons left, rather than a certain percentage of the fuel left. The problem is, gas tanks are smaller than they used to be, so that minimum "reserve" amount is actually a significant portion of the total tank capacity now.
