Nice looking MINI. But that's a whole lot of miles for a 3-year old car. I'd give that a careful going over, inside and out.
And given the fact that they are one of those dealerships that say "no haggle" price, I'd pass on that one. If they were willing to come down a couple thousand, then it would be priced about right.
What's with NO HAGGLE prices on used cars anyway ? That's half the fun of buying a used vehicle. Besides, if I can't haggle, I'd feel like I'm being taken for a ride.

My only thought to add to what's already been said is that it is my understanding that a number of desirable upgrades/improvements came in to the R53s starting with the 2005 model year, such as improved gear shift, availability of LSD, etc.
Basically, I'd suggest you keep looking, and look for an 05 or 06 if you want an R53. It is a great looking car though!

The car is a 2004 model year car.
2004 - 1 year (it may have been purchased in late 2003 for all I know
2005 - 2 years
2006 - 3 years
2007 - 4 years
the 2008s will be out shortly - making the car "nearly" (see my post above) 5 years old where bank financing, etc is concerned).
No biggee.. 4 years, 5 years.. it's still a lotta money.

MY04 car cutover date was 7/04. Although a MY04 car, it could be physically barely three years old. I know this because my car was a 6/04 build and 7/04 cars has significant changes since they were MY05 cars
08 MINIs coming out in December (last I read), then come 12/07 a MY04 car will be four years old. But it could still be 3.5 years old physically
Regardless, I agree ... too much money

Welcome to NAM. I had two Cavaliers before I got the car I really wanted
Don't let the fact that you have a dealership secluded in CO make you pay too much for a used MINI. Two of our club members had purchased cars and had shipped them to CA from the East Coast. There are some good deals to be found on new '06s.

so on monday i went and checked out the dealership here in CO and to be honest it sucked. No one even tried to help us out and there were three of us walking around for at least a half an hour. second their selection was pretty terrible, very few MCS but plenty of highly marked up MC. THere was one that was a GB, had the full JCW CF interior, special **** and that stuff, but it did have 35k on it
i dont know im just frustrated, im finding it way too hard to get into one of these wonderful cars

The ordering process...and even the wait, can be a fun part of getting a MINI.

i saw a blue MCS in a dealership in boulder, co. It's on 28th iris ave. it's along that 28th. you'll see it when you drive there..they park the Blue MCS outside the dealership..i think the price is $18k.
i think it's SAAB dealer.
check that out! they have red and yellow too.
