Has anyone retrofitted cold weather add-ons such as the heated mirrors, heated seats, window washer, etc?

We're mov'n from the hot southwest to the cold midwest. Dealer here in hot country has no clue.

Anyone? ...Bueller?

I'm surprised no one has answered this yet. I want to retrofit the full package to my car as well. Do all R53s have the chassis wiring in place to connect the actual switches and heated bits? Or do I need to run all the wires as well?

Doubt any of the parts are still stocked....some, like the seat heater elements were always very $$$.
The answer on wirings dependd on production date....
Some mini's at one poit got seats with heating elements that were not hooked up...forgot the year, but it was pretty random.
Remember, the last gen1 car was a 2008 model year cabrio....so its,been a bit...

That looks like a wiring kit, but it's useless if you don't have the heating elements in the seats. As Zippy said, some apparently came with just the elements. Those seat covers also had pockets for the heating elements.

Hi, Thanks, you are right this is the note that they have on the website.
Production: 12/2001-
Switch not for power fold option mirrors.
Note : You will have to check under your MINI seats ( passenger and driver towards the front under the bottom cushion) to see if the extra seat plug/ emply plug socket is there for this upgrade to work.

If you are lucky....Congrats!!

Thanks for the info, that is one of the few things that I would have like in the car but is not a deal braker.
So far if all goes well Im getting a 2005 Black on Black, H/K stereo, No fogs, will add later I hope, it is Stock as far as I can tell, They are changing the coolant tank I read that is a usual problem, also it does not have ASC, but ASC instead, not sure if is good or bad, No HID but I don't mind. I'll look under the seats maybe I'll be lucky to have the element.
Cheers and thanks

Anyone have a picture of what the "extra plug" would look like? I'd love to upgrade my Mini with heated seats, since moving from Miami to Denver!

no pictures

Well all the plugs under my seat are taken so that means that I can not retrofit the heaters, I think that I saw somewhere on the web some aftermarket seat covers that would have them built in, but I could be wrong. Good luck
