Looking for parts to rebuild 06 MCS

My car a 2006 MCS. It was involved in a accident a couple of months ago. The damage was extensive. Not quite enough to total but getting close. Anyway, I believe the body shop that has the vehicle is doing a good job, but we are getting antsy about getting the cooper back.

The body shop just informed me that they need a couple of parts to continue putting the car back together. They told me that both parts are not available in the US and are currently being fabricated in England for shipment. It will probably add at least another 2 weeks into the repair time frame. I do not know the specific parts numbers. I was told, one part is a drivers side Strut Mount Plate and the other part is an intake for the Supercharger. I would accept parts off another wrecked Mini as these are not structual etc.

Anyone have any ideas? A location of a real ended Mini would be nice.

Thanks, Richard

Not knowing where you are located, this may be a long shot, but worth a try.

Contact Lewisville Motors in Winston Salem, NC @ (336)-765-2362. Ask for Darin or Marty; don't talk to any of the others. It is possible they may have the parts you are needing. I know that they have a late model (06 I think) MCS that has been rolled several times. The body is basically destroyed, but the motor compartment looked unharmed. They are good folks to work with and will be honest about the condition of the parts.

Same deal as WSCRuiser, without knowing where you are..... Try Patrick MINI in Schaumburg, IL. (847) 843 - 4000. I know they have a body shop, so they may have parts your looking for. Hope this helps the return of your pride and joy a little bit sooner.

Is it number 1 in this pic...?

...they call it a guide support, but it's basically a strut mount, and is the same for either side.

unless you need the complete strut tower...

Is it number 15 in this pic...?

...they call it a intake duct, and it goes from the throttle body to the supercharger inlet.

Never mind, I stopped by there today to check on the MINI's engine. They sold the engine a couple of weeks ago.

They did a parts locate on their computer. The only other MINI supercharger they could find is in Missouri.
