Went in today and brought Edie home. Edie was the Cooper Demo car, but is to be replaced by a new car off the January shipment. I am so jacked that I have gotten her in time to do Chuckanut  Might even have that run in period done by then at this rate.

Thanks all  Just over 400 miles so far with a lot of casual motoring. I can't remember ever caring about a car, let alone being so in love with one. This car is by far the best automotive experience I have ever had!

Sad to say that I won't have my MINI until the end of Feb, so I'll have to miss the Chuckanut drive. Since I live on Whidbey Is. that drive would have been a great local event for me.
Has Club Mini put any thought into a Cascade Loop week-end. It would be just perfect for a line of BMW Minis to pull into Bavarian Leavenworth.
Whadya think????

I have been giving some thought to a "Backroads to Bavaria" trip for the PDX MINI Cooper Club. This spring/summer most likely. Would love to make it a joint event with the Vancouver BC club and Club MINI out of Seattle!! We could reserve the hotel downtown and use that empty spot downtown to park all our cars on with a car show. Seen it done before with several Miata clubs, so I know Leavenworth is open to such things. I'm a tenatious event planner....just look at the Forest Grove Rally this January 19th with sponsors like MINI-Madness, MCO, Helix13 and several others that we are finishing up the details on.

I'd love to help create this event as I know it can be a fantastic one!!

Sold!

Am willing to help plan and demo the drive if you wish. This would be my first foray into a motor club and I'd like to really participate instead of just belonging.

Ooh, Ryan!

As, AHEM, a new charter member of PDX MINI Cooper Club, I may HAVE to motor up from SoCal to attend the "Backroads to Bavaria" trip!!!

Look forward to reading about it in a future club newsletter!

Cheers!

Congrats on your new baby, Edie!

I wish you many happy years of motoring in her....isn't your face aching from all the grinning?
