PDX Saturday Morning Motoring?
Anyone in Portland up for starting a weekly Skyline cruise before the cyclists get there? I spent about an hour last Saturday morning cruising the twisties between Hwy 30 and Skyline out past Germantown, and it was a blast. Hit Skyline about 7:30, get back to 23rd for a bagel at Noah's around 8:45, home by 9-ish with coffee for my late sleeping wife. It was too fun not to share the idea. A friend from work with an MCS is probably joining me this weekend, but the more the merrier.

Absolutely. I just discover it last week, and have been itching to get back there... despite the fact that I almost didn't make one of the 10 mph hairpins and had the ABS kick in in a pretty big way.
Be careful - that's where I live!
Each time I wash my car I get the Zaino wheel shine just dry enough and then feel the need to get it on the road. 30 seconds out my driveway and I'm on Germantown heading up to Skyline, left on Thompson to Cornell and then right to complete the loop or left to head downtown. Watch out for the wildlife though - in the last month I have almost plastered a deer, 2 skunks, many raccoons and more than a few possum.
Where's Logee trail? I haven't explored too much around here - just too busy.
I'm heading to bend for a canoe trip for the weekend but the weekend of the 25th I am there!

Out Hwy 30 past Sauvies Island. Its the 1st through street past Cornelius Pass Rd that climbs up to Skyline. Its got at least 2, maybe 3 REALLY tight hairpins, like 1st gear kinda tight. Another great one is the one between Germantown and Cornelius Pass. Can't remember the name at the moment, Newton perhaps? Here's the route I took last weekend:
Up Thompson from Ceder Hills, left on Skyline, down Germanton, up Newton, down Cornelius, up Logee, back towards town on Skyline, left on Thompson to Cornell and down to NW. I'd bet there is at least one more road out past Logee, and if not, Skyline out that way is nice, but it eventually turns to gravel.
I'm probably going to be out of town the weekend of the 25th, but don't let that stop you from enjoying it!

Sorry, not for the next few weeks. I'm either too busy, out of town, or will have in-laws visiting. I definitely plann on heading to PIR for the BMW track day on the 20th, and will pick up this tradition again in Sept.

I am Interested in Sunday Morning runs.
I recently did an early morning trip out between Beaverton and Newberg, hitting some of the twisties in the area. I would like to do more exploring of the area for a future run. Is anyone interested in meeting up early some Sunday to hit Bell road in Sherwood?
