got "into it" with a modded Jetta
modded Jetta
No idea what the mods were but it was lowered with an exhaust that I could see. I could not pull him or him me at least up to the legal speed limit as we were bumbling along the interstate.
Any feedback this was a pretty strong car

If you could not hear anything and it was modded with a exhaust then it was NOT a VR6. I taken out a many versions of modded VW's (Jetta, GTIs). If it was a VR6 you would of heard that engine...
I've been spanked by a modded 1.8T heavily modded, mostly at high end though.

Spider,
Who do think was more surprised by how closely matched the cars were, you or the VW? I know I would have been surprised that the VW could stay with an MCS with all your mods.
This just goes to show that you never know what someone else has under the hood.
