Geico insurance Q

I've got a split in my Z3's windshield, if I file a claim, will they raise my premium.

Then don't file a claim. Either live with the split or pay out of pocket for the repair/replacement.

I think it depends more on the state you live in than the insurance company. Here in FL they can’t raise anything because of windshield damage if it was caused by rock or road debris. In fact they can’t even charge a deductible for replacement.

Sounds like you need to get that lizard on the phone.

Isn't a Z3 considered a sports car? last time i checked with Geiko they told me they did not insure sports cars. had a '94 RX7 at the time and a clean record.

sndwave forgot to mention one thing, in FL it's illegal to drive with a broken or chipped windshield. thus your insurance must pay to replace it!! (they did mention that last part though)

That was why I said it's more a state thing and not a company thing - I have no idea where he lives.

Same in SC. I had two windsheild replacements in recent years and saw no rate hike and didn't pay a penny on either.

guy and girl are "in a fight", she's crying, he's consoling

Guy: ...but I do have some good news
Girl: Really? Are you leaving Jessica?
Guy: No, but I saved a load of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico.
Girl: Ugh!! [storms off stage right]
Guy: I saved; I thought that meant something to you!
