He's way ahead of his time. I'm not sold on the tapering triangle thing around the grill but Im finally starting to get it.

What a tragedy. They're going from the E46 to the ESolaraTL.

I like the front, and most of the side. As it gets toward the back it starts to look like a sharpened Jaguar.

As I've said once before, I am in the distinct minority who think the new BMWs are a dramatic improvement over their recent ancestors. They look much more modern and agressive.

Not sure if I like the interior, but the exterior looks like I'll learn to like it a lot.

I like it.

I'm surprised I like it. Maybe that just shows that the 5 is growing on me too.

Did they have to include the *&^%$#@ i-Drive?

I love my E-46, but the i-Drive would be a deal killer unless they fix it or lose it.

At least it looks optional.

I'm going to puke

the front end and side I don't mind, the problem is that faux-Kia rear end, EEK!

I like it, too... I guess I AM getting used to the 5-series as well... The 6-series is INCREDIBLE from the inside, to drive and corner in, but I'm not sold on the outside with the 911 butt...

I guess BMW won't rest until we are all forced to accept that rotten IDrive...........

Not as bad as the Z4 or the 7 series - but that isn't saying much. I'm just not a fan of Chris Mangle, er Bangle.

Sorry guys, the new 5 series looks like a Pontiac to me.

Yeah, I like it too. Funny how the large front grill will look like the new Audi grill.

Not too bad, would take me a while getting use to the scrupled sides. Still think the E36 M3 is a better looking auto.

I guess we'll see a lot more of the V's and creases in the future:

Can you imagine a 6 speed or SMG 330i touring with 258bhp. Even the 325i should have around 220bhp. My 3er touring is starting to feel a little jealous!

Those taillights continue to make me nauseous

...and that rear fascia reflection line couldn't be any more contrived - where's my matte black gaffers tape!

i-drive in the 3 series?

Oh My!!!

BMW apologetics wil continue to argue that i-drive is the wave of the future, blah, blah, blah.

What an INSULT to a once proud and great marque. BMWs are about the DRIVING EXPERIENCE not about complicated gizmos that require a commercial Jet pilot license to operate. i-drive TAKES AWAY FROM THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE, PERIOD!!!!!!!

Between Chris Bangle's design madness and i-drive, BMW will soon relegate themselves to a second tier car company and MINI will be the only bright spot left in the product mix (And Rolls Royce).

Learn from Mercedes Benz that is doing away from the complicated and unreliable COMMAND system.

C'mmon BMW lovers bring it on, because Bangle and i-drive are a DISEASE invading every hall, office, nuke and cradle of BMW's corporate offices and minds.

Actually Mercedes will have a similiar system to iDrive in the upcoming S-class. Like the iDrive it will also be designed to reduce the number of buttons in the cockpit of the car.

Also something to note - the iDrive is optional in the 3 series (as it is in the 1/2 series)

Have you ever used I-Drive?

fix the rear end and you'll have a very good looking car. rip out the iDrive and proceed to destroy it with a sledge hammer and watch BMW sales sky rocket
