Oh My!!!

BMW apologetics wil continue to argue that i-drive is the wave of the future, blah, blah, blah.

What an INSULT to a once proud and great marque. BMWs are about the DRIVING EXPERIENCE not about complicated gizmos that require a commercial Jet pilot license to operate. i-drive TAKES AWAY FROM THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE, PERIOD!!!!!!!
I have to disagree with this. I can't help but think the I-Drive system is something we will all have to get use to. We want more and more function and options but then complain when we can't hit a button wearing gloves. Or like the SAAB 9-3 every one complains that there are too many buttons. But then two paragraphs later the reviewer will priase all the techno gadgets!

I used the I-Drive in the dealership waiting on my MINI to be serviced (I had lots of time to play!) I find the menu system to be counter intuitive. I constantly keep forgetting where I was in the menu system. I don't think the I-Drive sucks, I think BMWs menu sucks. On another note I see in the new Infiniti Q that it has something very similar.

It's here to stay I think.
