Yep the Chinese are coming. Wonder if they'll sell them at Walmart.

This reminds me of when the Korean cars first started showing up. They were junk, but they sold a lot because of their low prices. People laughed at those junk Korean cars. I think he Korean auto mfg are laughing now. All the way to the bank. It will take time, but the Chinese cars will take a foothold here.

Its a shame.

Hopefully the Chinese will make the US manufacturers shape up a bit.

Ive lost just about all hope for the US auto companies. I no longer support them in their ******** ventures with things like HUGE SUV's and such. I don't mind the smaller ones, or pickups, but trucks like the Escalade, Tahoe, H2 and H3 Hummers, they deserve what they are getting.

I would rather see Honda in front of Toyota as far as US sales go. I have never liked Toyota products.

What, you mean your head is not supposed to flop around like that in the side impact test?

The car performs like it has no B-pillar.

give it time. soon they'll be mass-producing in numbers that make the other companies look like they're making one a day. then again....with that many cars out there that crunch like that, a 3 car pileup of chinese cars will be like a jigsaw puzzle

Some Chinese outfit bought MG, and renamed it "Modern Gentleman." Rumor was that they're going to produce it in the US. MG is dead, gone, and joined the other great British marques like Austin-Healey, Jensen-Healey, in the great autoyard in the sky.

Whatever this Chinese company produces, it will never, ever be an MG.

Off the top of my head - the following British Car Companies are no more.

- Austin
- Morris
- MG
- Riley
- Wolseley
- Autovia
- Hillman
- Humber
- Jensen
- Reliant
- Riley
- Talbot and/or Sunbeam-Talbot
- Standard, Triumph or Standard-Triumph
- Singer
- Sterling
- Rootes
- Vanden-Plas
- Rover
- TVR

You might want to add to the list Jaguar (Ford), Land Rover(FORD), Bentley(VW), Rolls Royce(BMW), Lotus(Proton) and many others that have just become marketing 'brands' - should he be adding 'Mini(BMW)' in there too ???

Other notables

Ac, Bristol, Noble, Morgan, Ariel and Aston Martin all appear to be in business at the moment
