MINI of Mountain View is hosting MINI Motoring Hearts with a Pie Plate Rally and BBQ January 21, 06. Time 9 am.

The chairity: One Warm Coat is a nonprofit organization which gives those in need warm coats for free.

Drop off warm coats to MINI of Mountain View through Jan 21, 06 and join them for the Rally and BBQ.

 

I know i have a warm coat to donate glad to help you out Cooprd

 

Is there anything we need to do to sign up in advance for this?

Not to bust in on this thread but this is the information I got and thought I'd pass it along, it might be useful to those going and includes Jens phone number as well:

January 21, 2007 (Sunday). MINI of Mountain View is hosting MINI Motoring Hearts Hope everyone had a great Holiday and that your New Year is safe and fun. Just wanted to let everyone know that we are going to have a Ralley on January the 21st. That is a Sunday. We will be going on a pie plate ralley and then coming back to the dealership for a BBQ. We will be giving away prizes.

We are also doing a coat drive, so if you would like to come and drop off a coat we are accepting those from now until the 21st. There is a large box in the showroom that you can drop them in.

What is a pie-plate ralley?
A Pie Plate Rally is a drive you go on that has Pie plates along the side of the road. They will have different things written on them, and as you go along you need to write down as many of them as you can find. At the end of the rally, we will be giving away prizes for the people who find the most.

From 101 take 237/85 towards Cupertino and exit Grant Road. Make a left. Do a U-turn then right into the dealership.

I am collecting a headcout of my normal motoring cohorts in an effort to reduce the number of phone call Jen will receive (she's already busy enough)

 

Just saw this from the flyer they gave to me after the first scheduled service, my Mini needs some serious workout after hibernating for so long. I plan to be there with my wife, not sure if I have a coat to spare yet.

We had a great time; many thanks to all involved in setting up this event. I had quite a few coats that were needing a good home, so I'm glad we got to participate.

Wasn't sure if anyone would notice. The sun or motion took care of obscuring everyone's plates except for that one photo. Figured I may as well put a plate # the owner would like instead of blanking it out.
