What: A drive through the Calaveras Hills, starting at the San Jose side and going to the sunol side. If people are up for it, maybe cruise through Niles Canyon, over the dumbarton, up 84, and who knows from there... 35? 1? I dont have a bed time anymore

Why: Because danbanger's friend put his integra into a 4 ft high pile of dirt and we want to show him how superior the MINI is

How: Simple... get off your ***, get into your car (at this point you are on your *** again), and meet us at In N Out. Itll be fun. If we get enough people Ill raffle off a dollar. Raffle tickets start at $3 each

Should I start a thread for a day run or just post here? Anyway a few of us are heading out around noon on Friday. Out of my co-workers and their friends I will be the only Mini though :smile: It will be me a Civic Si, Civic Hatchback and not sure about the rest. My co-worker says his friends who may be going are into drifting so one of them might be driving a Corolla that's set up for drifting. Anyway it would be cool to have more Minis out there. Also since I will be doing this during my lunchbreak, I will have to make it quick. I plan to be gone from work 2 hours max. FYI: I work in Livermore by the airport so that should give me time to take Calaveras from North to South and then back, if not I'll just take 680 North back to Livermore.

That sucks You people and your bimmers I MIGHT have an open seat if youd rather ride in a MINI.... but I must warn you.... you need a strong stomach and not be afraid of fast corners

I just found out today that Union Pacific mis-directed the rail car carrying my MINI and the earliest she can now be delivered is 4/25.

Bought the car through MINI of the Hamptons to save time (ha ha now) and mucho bucks (think $2500). But I don't blame MOTH here, it's completely the fault of Union Pacific Railroad. The rail car carrying Daisy from NY to CA was mis-directed by some shmoe at Union Pacific filling in for the regular guy.

As a matter of fact, MOTH is pretty pissed too and really got on the shipping company's case big-time. I might get a good portion, if not all, of my shipping charge refunded.

Anyway, I'm curious to meet up with you guys/gals and check out everyone's "personalizations." I definitely want to add Sirius & GPS and then look into performance mods.

 

Even if you do get all of your shipping money back.... THAT SUCKS!!! An extra 2 weeks?! These people were driving a train in the wrong direction for THAT long??

Anywho, if youre serious about riding with me.... youll get a good feel for performance mods.
