MINI Day at Thunderhill Nov. 1

Thunderhill Raceway
Thursday, Nov 1st 2007 - Hooked On Minis Presented by Mini Mania Inc.

VERSION 2.0: Our inaugural Hooked On Minis was such a success that it's back by popular demand!! This is for Minis only - both classic and late model. Come and learn your car, hang with friends, learn a ton about Minis, and return home exhilerated!! A special event T-Shirt is also a part of the registration.

Registration Fee: $295.00 (see below for a drawing for a free pass to this event.)

Group A - Beginner - AVAILABLE
Group B - Low Intermediate - AVAILABLE
Group C - High Intermediate - AVAILABLE
Group D - Advanced - AVAILABLE

Register here or contact Hooked On Driving at <info@hookedondriving.com> or Phone: 925-552-8112. Availability shown as of August 27th. Contact HOD for latest status.

If you've never participated in a Drivers Education event, TRY IT!!! There's nothing like driving your MINI on a race track at speeds you wouldn't consider on the streets. This event will provide you with a safe and controlled environment to help you learn how to safely drive your MINI on the track. Instructors are available to coach you around the track. There is no 'embarrassment' involved - everyone is very supportive and helpful. Learning how your MINI reacts at speed will help you become a better defensive driver. Most of all, it is FUN and EXHILARATING!! Will you get enough track time? - don't worry, you will be 'drained' at the end of the day from the concentration and adrenaline rush....

If you've 'been there done that' - remember the big SMILE you had at the end of the day??? Do you still like to 'speed' on the streets?? Remember how 'calmly' you drove home from the event?? Come to the DE and get the 'speed' out of your system again - legally!!

Here is the best deal - we are having a drawing for an entry pass to this event. See requirements here.

Darmog, there is a limit for safety reasons, but Hooked on Driving will do their best to accommodate everyone.

They will accept registrants at the gate provided there is room, but I recommend you don't wait till the last minute! Some run groups may fill up faster than others...

Now now....

faster maybe not, but I've met TONS that are younger and prettier!

And if I'm out there, I'd love it if you'd do a session or two with me to point out just how bad I am, and some areas for rapid improvement!

(If you do, I promise not to make too many younger prettier comments!)

Back to the reason for this thread....the EVENT!

It's looking like we will have a good group of people who have all atleast met one another before....lets all get there early, claim our shady spots and have a great day. Those looking to pick up a few tips here and there and to get a ride for a different perspective should PM me....

For anyone else out there considering coming out, even if its your first time, read between the lines on this thread. This is a MINI community event with a lot of great people, come out and have some fun and learn more about your MINI....

Hmmm debating.

I really, really, really want to and it should be a total hoot in the MINI, but I've already learned what happens when I start doing track days (at least on my motorcycle... eventually started racing). The track is like crack.

Hmm.

Willum, there isn't a public list available for privacy reasons...

Maybe you can start another thread for attendees and see if people will 'check-in'??

Dont worry Darmog...Group A will be full Im sure. There will be plenty of instructors and plenty of time for you to work on gaining the skills to get you into group B. Make sure you get a logbook and have your instructors sign it and give you feedback...

Unixgal, congratulations for taking the plunge!! You'll love it.

Darmog, don't worry, Group A is usually the largest run group - you'll have plenty of company and tons of fun!!
