I just wanted to thank Carol, Larry, Tami,.... and all of you who worked hard on making the Monterey Event mailings, organizing the Car Corral, and Parade Laps.... I know it wasn't easy. I wasn't able to make the pub event as planned but heard it was great as well. I'm sure others appreciate it too.

Yes, many thanks again, you guys did a great job and we appreciate all the work it took to get it all together and manage it.

 

A big thank you is in order(carol) for the work that was involved in getting this off the ground. I returned and did the 2nd round of parade laps, which was a plus. The track officials did not have to accommodate us (MINIs) with an another opportunity to get on the track, but they did. The pub night was a blast with many prizes to go around.

side note: for the blue classic mini owner(whiner)(you know who you are) with the temper problem, I hope you are not an example of your club in general.

The parade laps were fun, if not well suited for the time, or how it was done, or whatever... but they made up for it in the afternoon, so for me, it's all good.

The Penny Farthing got a little over run by our little cars but that was great fun too!

Once I get my "InCar" video transferred and cut, I'll get it posted somewhere. You can hear my runfalts SCREAMING for traction a few times. It was a KICK!

Adding my thanks for mailing me a corral parking pass and for your efforts to organize a great event. Getting a second chance to drive on the track was the highlight of our day.

It really was the center of the MINI universe for a couple of days!

 

The thanks goes to all of you for being there to make it such a great event!
I would also like to thank MINIUSA for getting us back on the track and to Dean, I forgot the other guys name (sorry) and Ann from SCAMP for helping us Saturday as well.

Still on my way home after the accident yesturday. Even though not my fault it's hard to shake. I was the third car turning on a green left arrow. All of a sudden there was a kid on a bike in front of me. I wasn't going fast but still no room to stop. I don't know if he was hurt. Told him to wait for the police but he got on the bicycle and took off. So I moved the car to let traffic clear and wait for the police. Some lady yells at me that I'm leaving the scene when I wasn't. If she was so observant she would of seen the kid had fled. I don't get it, didn't he see the cars moving? Spent the rest of the morning at the station filling out a report. Barry you were behind me and I need a witness.

Now I can't wait to arrive home!

 

Glad nobody was hurt. See you guys when you get back.
