Who's planning on heading to AMVIV III thursday early am with NorCalMINI's.
Leave East Bay, have one more meet up spot then on to Fresno to meet up with MidCalMINI's. Worked out well last year.
I'll be at the rest stop just south of Tracy on the I-5 at 10 AM Thursday if any Bay Area or Sacto folks want to rendezvous. Figure on pulling into Vegas around 6:30 PM, including breaks and lunch.
Bring yourself and your favorite MINI companion to the Las Vegas Speedway on Saturday. Join us in a Phil Wicks Driving Academy event and watch the MINI Challenge.
It's still up in the air whether or not we'll be going yet. Wife has to fly out to Boston the Monday following AMVIV for a week long corporate thingy, so I'm not sure if we'll be going as a couple or if I'll end up going solo
If it ends up as option b, I'll be heading out Thursday morning with the other Norcal folks.
The video was great! Lots of tail shots of me since they were right behind us on some of the stages of the run. I'm glad we as a club were able to help them create their pitch to MINI. I think they "got" it. (Even if we didn't know what they were up to at the time lol)
For anyone coming to Fresno on Thursday morning to carovan with us that is going to be a little late, let me know and I will give you my cell #. That way we will wait if needed.
I just booked my room and I am looking forward to my first AMVIV.
Is there a meeting place in the East Bay for the morning of 3/23? I have heard some are going down 99 and others down 5. I would like to caravan with other MINI's to add to the experience.
If you're from LA or SF, Vegas rush hour traffic is nothing.
I commute 75 miles a day in SF Bay area traffic. I just don't want to spend the last part of a long drive sitting in traffic. (can you say "numb-butt" )

The closer you get, the more you want that 1st beer.
