Good point! I'll need a wash when I get down there. I think there is the Utah MINI club/leader doing detail & wash for about $30-$40. I thought I read that somewhere... hmmm. All I really need is a hose and a bucket!!!! I'll bring my own soap! Could you imagine 30 MINIs showing up to someone's random driveway and started washing their MINIs... how classic would that be!

If I remember (I suffer from CRS.....Can't Remember Sh*t) right, it was posted that the guy from Utah was charging $20 for a wash and $100 for a full detail. I think it is on the AMVIV3 web site. But with 200+ cars he could be VERY busy.....= long wait time, unless he has some help. Last year there was only 1 person offering a wash (could be the same person?) for about the same $$ and people were backed up around the lower parking lot.

MidCal and SoCal, run channel 7 sub 21, I think NorCal is the same.
I think he is talking about once we get to Vegas. Just use #7 during the event.

No problem. We usually run 7-21 too. I'll get everyone on that -- whoever meets up with us.

What's the address of the meeting spot in Fresno? It's Dennys?

Yes its Denny's. Its on Parkway Drive, just west of Hwy. 99 and Olive ave exit. Frontage rd. just south of Olive.

Same place asd last year for those who came down.

1101 N. Parkway dr. is the address to the Days Inn, right next door. I think Denny's is 1121.

Drkslvrs - Thanks for the address

Norm - Thanks for the weather update. I just checked Vegas extended forecast. Are you going up through Placerville to Tahoe and down that way to bishop?

Weather Permitting, I am. I will try to avoid any black ice, and sanded mountain roads. Even with a clear bra I don't want to take the chance.

Ok. I'll try to address everything that was pointed in my direction.

Radios - channel 7, no sub is what we'll be using during AMVIV. It's in the route book.

As of today, weather.com's 10 day forecast says 3/23 low 55, high 75. I'm going to update that on the AMVIV home page every weekday until next Thursday, and possibly on the weekends.

The detailer is NOT the same guy from last year. He is somehow involved with the Utah club and is coming to town for the event. The Utah people like him and his work. He will be located at the bottom of the last UP ramp in the parking garage. Right where you break back out into the sunlight as you get to the top of the parking garage. The location was chosen partly because any water runoff will go straight to a drain from there, no-one wants to drive through standing water.

There are 2 self car-washes fairly close:
1. Spring Mountain and Decatur
4475 Spring Mountain Rd
Las Vegas, NV 89102

2. Charleston and Decatur
4820 W Charleston Blvd,
Las Vegas, NV 89146

There aren't really any hills nearby. The best option might be the top of the Stratosphere with a big zoom lense.

Anything I missed, post here and I'll try to address it.
See you next week.

The guy that we organized last year did a good job for a REALLY good price, but he was a no-show on Saturday. We got hold of this new guy though the Utah club and he'll definately be there the whole weekend. And you won't have to go all the way to the ground floor for a wash, he's going to be at the bottom of the last "up" ramp, right where you break out into the sunlight.
